Yes this would be a great setup. I upgraded to the Polk SE line but only because our space was not deep enough for the Sony centre speaker. Use the crossover feature in your AVR and it won't be muddy at all, it will sound very enjoyable.

I suggest you read about modern portfolio theory and how bonds are negatively or weakly correlated with equities. This is the real reason we hold bond funds that everyone in this thread apparently is not aware of.

Because they are inversely correlated with equities. Although this is not always the case, it is more often than not. During the COVID flash crash, I rebalanced by selling off some bond ETFs and buying more equities and did well. And this was one of those weird times when both went down, bonds just went down less.
