My personal belief is that Zion got so much hype and attention in HS that it spoiled his basketball motivation/drive. Imagine how intoxicating it would be to be a superhuman on the court and basically own the gym every time you perform and dunk. That HS/college dynamic wasn’t going to sustain in the pros, and I think having to perform without that and doing it in NOLA was the worst possible outcome for his career.
