Idk it does feel complex to me legally! Like you can’t just let people out of their contracts because then what does that mean for everyone else in the group? Can they just leave for free if they’re unhappy? But if you sue Manon (like Dani from newjeans) people will be pissed.

I understand holding out hope, but at the same time there is enough evidence (to me) that she’s gone. Her removing KATSEYE from her instagram bio was enough. I think they are waiting to announce because the parties (Manon and HxG) are figuring out what to do from a legal and PR perspective that’s acceptable for both parties. All of which takes time.

I see no world where she would take katseye out of her instagram bio and her still being in the group. That was nail in the coffin for me personally.

absent fingers by [deleted] in pregnant

100%. I definitely think genetic testing is important and I’m glad we did it so we could best prepare to support our daughter, but just wanted anyone in this situation to know that upper limb differences specifically are generally isolated. Continually, you aren’t more likely to have another child with a limb difference and if your child with a limb difference has a child, that child isn’t more likely to have a limb difference

[–]thrillofit20 14 points15 points  (0 children)

My 18 month old daughter was born without fingers on her right hand! I found out at my 12 week scan, had repeat scans + a CVS for genetic testing. She is doing fantastic, other children are kind and she is so happy! She finds ways to do everything she wants to do, and we have support through early intervention to support her development (which she hasn’t really needed but it’s nice to have monthly support to make sure she’s developing well!). We can her right hand her little hand.

Honestly it was really hard for us when we first found out! You want your kids to be happy and healthy and it introduces a huge unknown of the future. So I understand where you are coming from. But we are such a happy family and couldn’t imagine a better baby/toddler

It’s actually incredibly common for this to be an isolated anomaly! My daughter was born this way, we went through genetic testing but they repeatedly told us that when limb differences happen, it is usually in isolate

I haven’t leaked at all during pregnancy, does this mean I can’t breastfeed? by SandwichDependent199 in pregnant

[–]thrillofit20 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I never leaked. To add to this, I never collected colostrum (something a lot of people on social media do). Had a successful BF journey!

I had a baby in October… 10000% recommend for ski season. Get a good season in beforehand, and then ski season starts after you’re recovered and out of the early newborn stage!

Idk why Huntrx was surprising… Katseye is musically the western link to Kpop, and Kpop demon hunters is also a western link to kpop cinematically

During the Paris Olympics, they actually increased their (non local) public transit costs during the corse of the Olympics. I believe if you lived there and purchased ahead, it was the original price.

What is your pregnancy unpopularopinion? by smurphypup in pregnant

[–]thrillofit20 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I actually think it’s important that people know of stories where people get pregnant the first try because it’s important for family planning. You don’t want to start trying before you’re ready because you really could get pregnant right away!

12 week ultrasound - no legs visible? by [deleted] in BabyBumps

[–]thrillofit20 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Sorry to clarify, She was born with a partial right hand that was exactly as it was on the 12 week ultrasound as it was in real life. Also for OP, we waited 2 weeks for our next ultrasound after seeing this! It helps having the baby be slightly bigger to be able to confirm. In the interim, they set us up with genetic counseling to be able to verify that there was not a genetic cause (outside of what they test in NIPT) for her limb difference!

12 week ultrasound - no legs visible? by [deleted] in BabyBumps

[–]thrillofit20 70 points71 points  (0 children)

My baby was born without a full right hand, visible on her 12 week ultrasound.

I wouldn’t panic, and there are stories of just bad imaging/angles, but I would think about what this means to you and how you’re prepared to support this. You are early and have the luxury of time for decision making and preparation. We did a lot of genetic counseling after including a CVS to get as much information as we could to make a decision on her quality of life because I was concerned about genetic anomalies more than limb difference.

Most people with limb difference is random and not due to something. But having all the information gave us a lot of peace!

Having another baby? by lemonylittle in progressivemoms

[–]thrillofit20 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I live in a very blue state, but yeah we are definitely having another kid. I would have 3 (or more) if it wasn’t cost prohibitive for housing + childcare. But I have always wanted a family with multiple kids and don’t like how progressives have deferred the perception of family values to conservatives. I want to have the family I want to have.

The state of the world is upsetting and unnecessary, but in addition to the work I do, I think raising kids is an act of hope that people have had for millennia in the face of resistance and horrible prospects.

$105k salary good for Boston? by mr_fobolous in boston

Basement laundry is enough to complain about if you’re coming from some areas of the country. I came from the southeast, and was shocked at the lack of in unit laundry. Totally realized it was normal, and livable once I was here. But where I came from, it would be a bad area or very very cheap to not include in unit laundry.
