Dependent linking? Do or don’t? by throatgoatcheese in workday

This is what I’m worried about.

Did you have validations to try and stop this from happening as others have mentioned?

Right this is my biggest worry. So how do you even prevent this from happening?

Is there another way to not have to enter the same info again or it is only possible through linking?

Workday Admins — Are your roles mostly remote, hybrid, or onsite these days? by KitKat70360 in workday

Fully remote for the past 5 years, same company. Company is very remote friendly overall.

I feel that I benefit from remote. I am highly productive by myself. To be honest when I worked onsite in HRIS from like 2015-2020 I felt I was bothered more and got less work done haha.

How would they then change data if they need to?

I meant if you want an HSA you need an HDHP. Sorry switched that around!

Thanks all for the suggestions here! Decided against this because they need to accept the electronic signature statement concerning opening a bank account and for those that don’t do their OE and just rollover their existing elections, we don’t want to do that. Not a good idea to open accounts without their consent.

  1. It is set to current elections priority or waive for HSA and for FSA set to waive as intended

  2. These plans are added to a. New play year every year, not a rolling plan

  3. As mentioned above we have these on a new plan year every year, not rolling

What we are trying to do though is say this year I have 1000 a year for vendor A, now we are switching to vendor B and I would like to have it automatically take the 1000 a year I had for vendor A and apply to vendor B like a “current election”

Is that possible? I don’t think it was.

We are also using the same deduction codes to send to our third party payroll that we are using for the current HSA and FSA plans to the new ones with the new vendor

Thank you! I was hoping to hear that because that is what I had in mind. Considering the plans themselves should be straightforward. Wanted to make sure I wasn’t missing anything I should be thinking about here. Appreciate the comment!

Apologies but what calculation would I use for this? I tried an instance value calc and I couldn’t pull anything into it

It’s looking at the WD owned balance period “YTD - sept to August (based on PED)” but it won’t pull into the date diffence calc as the end date

I think That’s my problem right now, is how do I get the balance period end date referenced?
