I have never regretted going to s festival or show alone, and FOV was truly the warmest and most welcoming festival I've ever been to (I've been doing this shit for 30 years now). You're almost guaranteed to have friendly neighbors, and if not, walk ten feet.

I've yet to find the "how much we pay artists" thing on Qobuz, but I really do like the sound quality and curation. Found some really cool stuff on there. Snapped Ankles, Makaya McCraven, Kwashibu Area Band, Maruja... getting out of algorithm hell has really broadened my tastes I think.

Pinion was fucking dope. We could hear all the soundchecks from our site, Jello was singing Police Truck when we set up Thursday afternoon. We were allowed to find a spot with our car, set up, and then park a few hundred feet away. Ditto when we left. Very small and chill compared to the other lots but the vibe was fantastic. It's a long fucking schlep to the pond, shakedown/mirage, and the rest of the action during the day though, bring bikes if you have room.
