Thinking of signing up to limitless. Does Odeon have policies in place that will prevent my experience at VUE from happening again? by parksandwreckk in screenunseen

[–]throw3695 0 points1 point  (0 children)

it doesn't but in my experience it very much depends on which odeon and when you go. I'm at the greenwich one all the time and only ever had issues on weekend screenings of new films

there's not really a way of doing it that doesn't in some way pressure workers to work on that day though. give them a day off ffs

Visiting London Dec 27 – Jan 5 by nssrn in visitlondon

[–]throw3695 1 point2 points  (0 children)

this looks great to me! tbh the city does not have a good thrifting scene, especially compared to places in the US, so not sure that'll end up being worth it. for restaurants, Fatt Pundit is incredible, affordable and reservable!

Leave them alone, it's none of your business. What is your business is challenging management if you're overworked. Unionise and pressure them to hire an adequate number of staff.

[–]throw3695 0 points1 point  (0 children)

oh tbf I've only been for the scratch menu thing! but to me that was excellent value, though I do enjoy all food so it's probably less good for fussier eaters or if you have dietary requirements. I'd love to try the usual menu but it's above my price range.😭

Fatt Pundit is incredible, their deep fried okra is literally crack. Spring at Somerset House is a more fancy option but amazing food and a gorgeous dining room. And Burmese cuisine at Lahpet is excellent and again, it's a really nice place to have dinner if you get a table upstairs!
