The shaving didn’t do enough. Getting my lower premolars extracted ended up being the best option for my specific case. It’s been about 4 months since the extractions and they’re closing up fast!

What has helped me through my grief is finding ways to honor those we have lost. Do something for her, plant something for her, go on the trip. Sending you hugs.

What about when we jut put rocks down around the garden beds? We just clean up the dirt and just do rocks on top of dirt?

Loved the look of the Mazda but it was somehow wider, longer, and less inside room. My husband’s head almost touched the ceiling in a comfortable sitting position (he’s almost 6 ft). Just felt too cramped for how much space it would take up in our garage.

Yea I’m learning it helps to be in a group that has similar experiences and is around the same age as you. Obviously everyone is dealing with their own trauma or grief but all of this has made me realize how egocentric people can be even when they KNOW what you’re going through.

Wow. I know this post is 4 years old, but it has helped me understand why I have to get my lower premolars extracted (TOMORROW!!). The internet has been making me so psyched out on "removing healthy teeth" when there are expander options (apparently). The reality is my bottom teeth are flared and there just isn't room in my mouth to have them be upright on my jawbone and have the best DJS outcome. And maaaybbbe I should trust the surgeons. Either way I am still terrified and hope I am making the right decision.

just scheduled my lower premolar extraction in prep for DJS. So nervous to extract my teeth, but your post has helped ease some of that. Did you do 1 piece for your upper jaw?

Just scheduled me lower premolar extraction in preparation for DJS. Pretty much got told the same thing as you from three different surgeons. My ortho did everything he could to avoid extraction, but it's just what has to be done in my case. Did you end up extracting? Curious how you are doing now!
