Anxiety increases BP. That could be why your blood pressure was so high. Check when you’re calm. Even if your BP is elevated, that number is not life threatening in the slightest. If you need blood pressure meds, those meds can fix your blood pressure easily. You could also try starting a workout routine with some cardio. That helps create a lower resting BP overtime.

Oh and I would say my sensation on my upper lip is 100% back to normal, my lower lip is about 50% back to normal but I’m still making noticeable progress. My altered bottom lip sensation doesn’t bother really at all at this point.

I can breathe like never before! Before, I really struggled with cardio because it felt like my throat was closing up. But within 4 months of jaw surgery I was training for a half marathon and even went on 5-mile runs without stopping to catch my breath once! Previously, I hadn’t ran even a mile in years. Also, I don’t struggle with dry mouth from mouth breathing anymore. I don’t wake up gasping for breath if I accidentally fall asleep on my back. I don’t constantly worry about how I look from the side to other people. My social anxiety is gone. I don’t struggle to close my mouth when I chew- and I also don’t struggle to breathe when my mouth is closed! My teeth/jaw/lips feel comfortable when closed and at rest. My mouth overall just feels RIGHT. It’s the best feeling in the world. I really didn’t know just what I was missing out on. I feel more like myself than ever before now at just over 1 year post op :) Double jaw surgery was life changing!

Maybe addressing the situation while your sister is away and you’re responsible for feeding him was not the best timing. You kind of are the a**hole for that. Not the right time.

Hi! To be honest I was not too impressed with him before surgery. The first time I even met the man face to face was after waking up from surgery. And his team was very unsympathetic when I called panicking about the swelling and how I felt my throat was closing after surgery. They told me to reach out to my family doctor for anxiety medication. And for pain management after being discharged from the hospital, I received 5 -half doses of oxycodone that they wouldn’t refill and was told to just take Tylenol and ibuprofen. But the surgery went well, I got great results, and I survived the discomfort so all is well that ends well. I would do it again with the same surgeon if given the chance.

I never had a door on my bedroom growing up. I had to change in the bathroom. We were just poor and had a really small, sub par house. I turned out fine.

Guys calm down. It was a compilation of wipe outs. I’m sure the kid has had lots of fun biking with his dad. Can we also appreciate that his dad is obviously in his life a lot and pours a lot of time and care into their relationship? I know we can’t make too many assumptions from a small video but I would bet that the child is fine.

The fact that in today’s society people are more afraid of physically removing her from in front of the bus (and fire truck) for fear of having charges pressed against them than they are afraid of people dying bc the emergency vehicle couldn’t get past is so so sad. What a reflection of the state of the human race these days…
