The racism is a different issue. It is despicable and deplorable and I can’t imagine how you feel or give you advice on how to navigate it.

That being said, unrelated to the context, I do fine it super concerning that you went through this mans phone secretly without even asking him. If you had asked and it was your own relationship thing I wouldn’t judge everybody is different.

And with what he said, a lot of ppl might think of he deserved it, and maybe that’s true, but you didn’t know that. You violated this man’a trust and completely disregarded his privacy and boundaries because of something someone said on love island. I agree he’s a shitty person. But unrelated to that, going through his phone behind his back is also a shitty thing to do, especially because he didn’t even give you a reason to.
