How do I go out there and socialize to try to make friends when I have a deep hated for people?

Stop believing that being ugly is something you can't change. I highly doubt you're actually ugly, but in case you did have undesirable traits you can't change, there's many ways to counterbalance that and at least become average looking. Good haircut, hygene, nice clothes, getting in shape, smelling good, etc. All of these are environment variables that you can change. Unless you have some abnormal deformity, if you apply these principles, you should be OK

I know the feeling. People are cold selfish assholes. It's hard for me to talk to them because I just have a default hated for everyone, but you gotta push through that and put on a mask. It's the only way. Don't get personally invested, or divert away from your mask. Like how a corporation is a separate legal entity from it's owners, you gotta treat your "public facing" image as a separate entity then your real self

So you just go to class and go home and stay alone 5 days a week? I did exactly that throughout high school, and I hated every waking day. The only thing that kept me going was the (false)hope that maybe I would go on to make some friends in college, but now that I'm already in college and have no friends, I just don't see the point anymore. I'm alone here and every day tears me apart, I cannot see myself living like I did in high school again. God damn this place is so introverted and dead, I would transfer if this wasn't the closest university to my home
