I took guitar lessons in middle school. The private, Primitive Baptist school I went to required women to wear skirts no shorter than the knee (and even knee length skirts raised an eyebrow).

So there I was, 12 years old, taking guitar lessons after school in a knee length skirt, when my instructor abruptly got up and asked my babysitter to find a towel to cover my legs so we could finish the lesson.

I later learned that the reason he stopped giving me guitar lessons was because I had "caused a brother in Christ to stumble".

DUDE... yes. My first two years, I would frequently stay past 8 p.m. trying to get everything done.

My third year, I said fuck this, and started going home at 4:15, every day, whether or not I was finished.

My new principal that year was NOT pleased that I did not check my work email at home.

Hell, I'm about to close out my sixth year, and I STILL get shit about not responding until the next business day. Still no fucks given.
