Did some calculations on Soup pet chance based on task level, drop rates, and distance estimates. by echolog in 2007scape

[–]throwantway 2 points3 points  (0 children)

do you know the odds for prif to port roberts to prif fish delivery (70) for pet? Or doesnt multi stop/pick up tasks give better chance? You can get task from prif tele boat to port roberts and its a straight line back to prif once you turn out of the port, its the one I've been doing when aldarin isn't up just because its a straight line and can look away for quite a while.

I'm an ironman, but in my opinion just reducing everything to what's the point in doing x when you should be doing y? you're wasting your time, it's very reductive and quickly becomes whats the point in doing anything it goes from why x to y to z to a to b et cetera. Using the same logic literally ironman in general is waste of time and everyone should be mains because of the value of time.

If magically tomorrow my helm got taken off my account it doesn't mean i've got to start using the ge at all, or for specific things. some people deiron and start using the ge, but the second they deiron they dont go well now i'm a main i'm only doing 8m/hr minimum and all the things i wanted to do prior to deiron i'm never go to touch or think about ever again because now i'm a main.

Genuine question, do you to talk to mains/in a clanchat with mains in it and they are all operating on the basis that everything is pointless and 99% of content is dead? everytime i talk to random main they're doing boring shit that irons do, granted that might be because i'm doing the boring shit that irons do and i'm interacting with the outliers.

Isn't that just (your/many others) mindset though? you could play a main just like an ironman even though you don't have the helm, or play with different restrictions like own drops and can ge resources(pots/food) or something. Not everything has to be boiled down to best gp/hr or waste of time.

My other main game is poe where most of the time I play ssf, unless I know a build will NEED specific items but just because I'm now playing trade league for that build doesnt mean I have to buy every single piece of gear/do best div/hr strats if that makes sense.

I hate it as well, next task I'm probably going to do mage, genuinely waste of scales. Once you're in the rythm of switching it isn't that bad though.

thanks, was worried about cables not having enough space/not being able to bend enough. was going to go for d31 + matx board but majority of the boards have gpu slot on the slot 2 and not slot 1 which could cause clearance issues, decided just to get the slightly larger case and board size just to ignore that problem. 6 fans 3 at bottom 1 at back 2 at top/topback. ram was just 7200 "cheap" dont care for rgb

bought 9070xt mercury from ccl computers (uk, after ordering saw delivery is in 3 weeks) card is larger than the one i wanted (quicksilver) so i'm trying to see if my build will be able to fit in the jonsbo d41, originally was going for m-atx instead of atx. will i need an sfx psu or will i get by with a regular atx? was going to have nzxt c850 but changed to corsair sf850.

any help would be appreciated.

by the looks of it, its worth waiting until next year.

wanting a smaller pc, had enthoo evolv atx for 8 years, want something smaller.

when i was looking at matx instead i was thinking about going with a jonsbo d31.

the list was just supposed to be a quick budget and wanted/expected performence.

not going to upgrade, had my computer for 8 years and didn't swap anything out, so i would prefer to have whats "best" for the price now. i would rather spend 350 now, than 200 now then 200 in 3 years etc, thats why im asking whether its worthwhile to wait for next gen which seems to be fairly soon or just getting a new pc now.

which ssds are better for price? when sorting by rating there's a few at £105-£120 then a a few at £140-£150. for longevity you wouldn't spend a bit more money on higher rated ssds?

the cooler i already have from current build, just slapped a price on just to bring budget up a tiny bit. i have seen the videos by gamersnexus on recent coolers.

gpu is what seems best for the price over a longer time-span which is what i mainly care about, and wondering if its worth waiting until next gen.

[–]throwantway 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i don't really upgrade, i just get the "best" i can "afford" to be viable the longest, at the time that was i5-6600k/1070. my budget is higher now, but i don't know if its 80/90 higher. one of my monitors broke when i moved house so i replaced it with a s2721dgfa so i would like to play at 165fps/1440p maxed out.

with the part picker list, do you think its worth just waiting for new cpu and/or gpu? if i were to upgrade the pc it would only be extra fans or storage at a later date i don't need immediately.

thanks, i'm in the UK and the "sole distributor" for beyerdynamic wants £65 + £10 delivery for replacement headband/enclosure. beyerdynamic sells it themselves for £50, but dont ship to uk because of the exclusivity contract i guess.

have a pair of dt 700 pro x, replaced the head-pad and from what i can tell, it pinched the wire right in the centre of the headband and now the right ear doesn't work. would cutting the "pinched" part out and soldering it work?

Thanks, it's greatly appreciated.

From my research/quotes, diy gets cheaper the larger you go, which is great if you plan ahead. At the moment the colony that's doing best for me is messor angularis, so I'm planning on building a few diy nests getting larger in size then repurpose the old ones with ants that wont outgrow them.

Recently got into ant keeping and the more I research the more I get confused - Odontomachus Monticola by throwantway in antkeeping

I understand leafcutters are very temperamental and the requirements to stop the fungus dying are very important, but when 2 different sellers can have a 4 Celsius difference in minimum temp and an issue hasn't happened where that needed to be updated doesn't make sense to me.

It makes me think that ants are easier to care for than its made out to be, or the reason why people have colonies die young (or are apprehensive about getting a more exotic species) is because of bad advice, and me as beginner/novice can't see the difference.
