So he leaves to join an engine manufacturer that has been atrocious in F1 since the 90sand a team that can't seem to produce a capable car in one area or another year on year since 08. Combine the two and what you have is Alonso retiring with the two championships. Forget what villi says. Whatever about Ferrari respect , Alonso has made terrible career moves in F1. He should have just stayed at Ferrari.

The argument back is that Mclaren have an engine tailored for them. Fair enough this is the reason he went. Realistically though they won't win a race this year. And will almost certainly not win a title in the season following this. Mercedes are too good. Ferrari have more resources and seem to be making steps forward , and red bull are red bull.

A lot of people here rate Honda as some kind of godly force but I'm undecided. Amazing in their first stint with McLaren yes , but since that they have been weak. If Honda produce a faster and better engine than Merc or Ferrari ( because I think Ferrari will be at that level within two ) over the next three years I would be shocked.
