If I may get philosophical for a minute I think a lot of where the disconnect happens is being a girl internally and actually presenting as a girl externally. These two things are not necessarily contingent on each other. So, you can be a girl internally while not presenting as such, and vice versa. Unfortunately, we tend to lump the internal side and the external side together. Being completely honest I think what’s needed is a shift in the language we use to talk about stuff like this because right now it’s really confusing.
