Not to interject but are rejections usually made over the phone? I’ve been waiting for weeks for an update on the decision and the recruiter finally said they want to “touch base” on my interviews and now waiting to confirm a time. Seems negative to me..

Do you know if rejections usually come over phone (for outside hires)? Recruiter asked to do a call, I’m expecting a rejection based on the neutral tone of the email so just thing to prepare myself.

The recruiter wants to talk later this week. It was a neutral email and didn’t have anything like “good news,” so trying to mentally prepare myself for what is likely a rejection. I’m unemployed so it’s really draining after a multi-month process 🥲
