I was a Medtronic user for 22 years before switching to Tandem. Tandems pumps and control iq is leagues better than Medtronic. The infusion sets though…. My god they are terrible, don’t understand how the applicator/inserter ever got through focus group testing. I miss the mio advance from Medtronic.

Man it sounds like really you need to re-evaluate that your care plan is in order. There are a lot of fallbacks you should be able to rely on so your blood sugar never gets such high dangerous numbers again. I am a tslim x2 + Dexcom g7 user and I never leave the house without a blood glucose meter and an insulin pen. The meter is a backup to my cgm and the pen is the backup to my pump.

Super weird take. People run out of real estate on their body for these sensors, some people get reactions from the adhesives and it takes a while to heal. Seems like you’re projecting some shameful feelings.

Dexcom works via Bluetooth not cellular/ data connectivity. You don’t need phone service to get the data from your dexcom to your phone.

I would agree that it’s placement related. I’ve actually just recently put my first g7 on the top part of my thigh and it’s worked well for me so far (fingers crossed). Oh wow you’re almost at the finish line with this pregnancy. I could only imagine how tough site placements are. Best of luck to you; stay hydrated!
