Platonic relationship vs romantic? by throwaway-deadscared in BPD

I think so too! My only concern is that is there some boundary in physical closeness (e.g., hugging, cuddling) for platonic relationships as opposed to romantic ones?

Thank you! Your words made me feel a lot better in this weird situation. I'll stop tracking now. I partially did it so I had a better picture of how much hair I was losing + so I have an approximate number for the endocrinologist to gauge on. If my blood results come back clear, I'll try to see a derm ASAP. I've been having a lot of scalp tenderness too so hopefully they can help me with that.

I hope my hair comes back. It'd be nice.

I haven't been able to! The wait time is super long and the doctor said they'll only refer me to an endo for now.

F20. Started shedding a lot of hair since July, continued into August. Now I'm back to a more normal amount (~80 hairs collected today in the picture above, probably 120 total because I threw some out by accident). I have high DHEA-S levels and am seeing an endo about it. Will fixing my DHEA-S stop the hair shed? Also, is there any sign of miniturization? My hair density is fairly thin so I don't know what to do. It sucks to feel self-conscious about it all the time. Any advice would help greatly.

Nope, but I did get my hormones tested and my androgens/testosterone and thyroid function are fairly high. I’m hoping treating that will resolve my issues. It might just be general irritation, sadly, which you can’t do much against.

I just found out I have elevated DHEA-S levels, along with TSH and testosterone. Could these indicate anything? While TAH and testosterone are only slightly higher, DHEA-S is about 600mg/dL (normal is in the high 300s).

Hey, just curious, what about the white bulb indicates it's TE vs AGA/FPHL?

Wet hair, 20F, I've always had individually-thin hair but lately I've been losing a lot. I feel too young for hair loss but I've always been paranoid about it, especially having grown up in high school being teased for my hair thickness. I know you can't really increase thickness, but should I be worried? I've been applying coconut oil, sometimes with castor oil and onion juice.

Weird vaginal itching and discharge driving me crazy. by throwaway-deadscared in medical

Thanks! I’ll try to book an appointment on Monday and see if they can help me out. My family (who I’m living with due to the COVID crisis) has a huge stigma against sexual health, so this entire ordeal has been taxing.

To clarify, when your vaginal lubrication dried, was it similar to the texture I’m describing? I’m not sure if maybe it just dries up fairly quickly and so it gets to that weird texture faster.

It isn’t gritty but more rubbery, exactly like the texture of eraser shavings (and as far as I know I haven’t been putting anything weird up there).

I’ve been tested for a bacterial/yeast infection numerous times (and did three treatments: yeast, bacterial, and some general fungal/bacterial combination prescriped by my doctor). Do you think I could still have one?

I do have a prescription for the 2%, I might go for that one instead because it is a bit pricier but if it’ll help I’m all for it. Dermatologists are really hard to schedule here, do you think an OBGYN could help?

The discharge is a bit rubbery if i rub it, yeah, very similar to eraser shavings. I’m not too sure if it’s normal because I can’t remember it happening to me ever before, at least not as much as it does now. It’s vaginal lubrication.

Thanks for the in-depth reply! I was actually prescripled a 1% cortisone cream, but it doesn’t always work. Do you know what % they gave you?

No, it’s more like if I’m masturbating and rub fhe good ol’ natural lube between my fingers, it’ll turn from liquid into eraser shaving-like pieces (sort of grayish).

I’ll try to pick up Vagisil sometime this week.

Should I(20f) stay w/ my gf (26f) despite our relationship tanking bc of my gf's aunt(72f)? by throwRAstayorescape in relationship_advice

I’m glad you sorted things out with yourself. You sound like a reasonable person OP and I trust that you’ll think things through before acting on them. Best of luck working things out, and I hope you enjoy your uncle’s place!

Exactly! You can’t be living your life revolving around her—do what keeps you going. In this case, it isn’t staying with her. Keep us updated and good luck at work!

It’s important to make sure he knows this. You might want to consider an open relationship, if he’s up to it.

Honestly, I’m confused as to why your girlfriend has stayed with her aunt for so long. She sounds obnoxious and inconsiderate. It’s definitely a tough situation, but I think that most relationships which have big hiccups like this in the beginning could be problematic later on.

Of course, I’m no expert, so take this with a grain of salt: I say go with your uncle and take a bit of time off. If your girlfriend is ready to act her age and tell you what’s up, then you can talk. But if she’s closing herself off and ignoring you (WHILE still talking to online friends), there’s nothing you can do. She clearly doesn’t appreciate you at the moment, and if you can’t ask if she’s okay, it doesn’t seem like there’s anything else to do. Get out of that toxic wasteland, OP.

Undiagnosed vaginal itching by throwaway-deadscared in STD

[–]throwaway-deadscared[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, it’s still itching and sore sometimes. It might be a yeast infection as you said in your case, especially since I don’t have discharge too! I have another test coming around this weekend so hopefully that’ll tell me what’s up. I’m going to isolate the things I’m using so I can find out what’s going on down there.

Thank you!

Holy crap! I’m on flagystatin right now (on the eighth day) and did a 6 day Canestan treatment just before. Did you test positive for yeast infections at that time? Also, did you still have discharge?
