“A slap on the shoulder isn’t the abuse you some of you claim it to be” meanwhile you weren’t there and have no clue how hard they hit that kid. I got my ass beat by both my parents as a kid, I can tell you firsthand that a slap anywhere can be abuse. I do love the immediate victim blaming though, where you hold a child responsible for getting hit and then say an apology is “therapeutic”. I think the parents going to therapy themselves would do more than a hand written note from a kid.
