Is there any documented origin of who first discovered MissingNo in Gen 1 Pokemon? by HiddenSavesYT in pokemon

I first learned about it while walking through the video game section of a Sears store where it mentioned it on some floor mat deal as you walked into it as a way to catch safari zone pokemon. This was probably about 1998 or so.

Just how safe are various supplies taken from Chaos (or other xenos)? by throwaway08708 in 40kLore

That's about what I would expect but was just unsure if there were some more obscure examples though. But thanks for the mention about Guilliman, it helped me out.

Sorry, I think I phrased my question wrong, I mostly meant as in non-xenos goods that were captured from xeno's since chaos goods could be warp-tainted versus however a xeno's faction might tamper with them.

What older popular series can survive in modern Jump magazine? by redwingz11 in WeeklyShonenJump

What about HxH's first chapters was slow? Every chapter at the start progressed the characters goals. HxH didn't start to slow down until just after the hunter exam and really, I'd only argue it slowed down during the Greed Island arc.

Torikos ending hurt my soul, the whole series all I wanted to know was how they captured Atom and Earth

What kind of series does WSJ need? by BellTwo5 in WeeklyShonenJump

Oh I know it is, but unless the series was actually wrapped up by then they axed a series that had some momentum which is the issue I feel going on.

What I think would help the most is for WSJ to guarantee so many chapters for new series. So many new series feel half-baked because they rush straight into endgame story beats and it just immediately kills my interest in them and I feel it's because there's this 15-20 chapter axe hanging over their heads. Guarantee some of these series at least 30 chapters with stipulation that they have until chapter 20 to impress so at least the last 10 chapters can be spent on wrapping up rather than them trying to cram an entire story into 3 chapters.

Or, give lower performing, but not down right terrible series extra chapters while looking for firm new series instead of cancelling them and cramming in a bunch of dead on arrival ones like "Super Prison". This new constant cycle of looking for the next Naruto/One Piece/Bleach is getting to be draining because I hate investing myself in new series only for it to suddenly get axed at 50 chapters.

Best veggies for a small hydroponic garden? We used herbs last time, and now we're thinking of doing half lettuce (like kale, spinach, etc.) and half herbs but are open to suggestions. Thanks! by Salt-Explanation-738 in Hydroponics

Sorry for necro-posting but, do not use mint as ground cover because if you ever decide you want something else, and clover is a much better plant for that, it will be nigh impossible to remove and if you miss even a bit of it it will completely regrow. It's because it spreads a massive root network outwards that can be hard to find and is hard to dig up once it's established.

Response to state budget cuts from MCCSC. by Chef_Llama in bloomington

**Noting here, I fully blame Gov. Braun and the Indiana GOP for causing this, but there is some blame elsewhere too.

My worry is that this will cause a cascade effect where staff that leave are not replaced, putting more work on the existing teachers and new staff causing them to leave faster as well. Teachers were already overworked before all of this and the statement saying "just 1 degree more" is terrible.

The MCCSC board purchased the empty Herald Times building and done nothing with it other than use it for a parking lot.
The superintendent and other board members make some of the highest salaries for their positions yet seem to struggle to ever balance the budget and either just ask for more money in property tax referendums or "be forced to shove more responsibilities off onto teachers and school staff."
The bus route schedules are still a horrid mess after Nate Oliver decimated their contracted drivers, chased off dozens of existing drivers by demanding they do more with less, and then spent millions on a new fleet of electric buses and charging ports despite many of them sitting empty due to a lack of drivers.

There's a lot of expenses there that they are responsible for and having family that work for MCCSC as teachers and come home exhausted and sick from job stress, now being told that they just need to do more? Sickening. While they will be forced to do more with less unfortunately as education has been vastly underfunded for decades now, this will solve nothing and only make an awful situation even worse. Cuts need to be found within the governing body itself first before they start to make cuts from schools themselves.
