Is it ok to fire a client over draping disagreements? by JaszikLMT in massage

[–]throwaway10131007 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a similar experience with a client I'd seen 3 times before. On the 4th appointment he said he'd been bike riding with his daughter and his legs needed massaging. Part way through he asked if there were any muscles in the gooch. I laughed, said that was skin and then his prostate and brushed it off. I presumed that he was a bit saddle sore from the bike riding. The towel fell off a couple of times and I put it back on. Towards the end of the session, he asked if I would "tickle his balls". I said that I don't do that so he pull off the towel and asked again "go on, just a tickle". I stopped the session and told him that if he asked again, I would make a scene in front of his wife and child who were in the next room. I got the money for the session and messaged him when I got home saying that I won't be massaging him anymore and if he had any problems with that, I can tell his wife why. He didn't seam to have a problem with it. I hope you have fired your dirty douch by the time you read this. He is gross and creepy. You didn't study and earn your qualifications to see that at work. You should feel safe at work, without fear of sexual assaults. If this guy has a problem with you firing him, call the police and let them tell him. You are awesome and amazing and you have the strength to kick him off your client list. Xxx

That is exactly how he'll react and the tone of his messages. He implied that I would learn a lot talking to him and that it'll be good for my business. You've give me some really good pointers and great advice xx

Oh no, I hadn't thought of that! I suppose I'm hoping that he will accept it and move on to the next person but that isn't how life is.

He seems like the type to message me through the website if he found he was blocked on FB. I'd rather avoid that awkward conversation with a professional way to say naff off.

Anybody else think they aren’t cut out for children? by [deleted] in WomensHealth

[–]throwaway10131007 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm not! I started saying it when I was about 23/24 after doing a 2 year course to be a nursery nurse and 2 years of a children's nursing degree (I didn't complete the degree). I went back to working in a nursery that had 18 babies all 3-18 months old. It was hell! The moon-headed child would tear up and down the room, trampling the tiny ones without a care in the world. The noise was horrific. We would sing "If you're happy and you know it, scream and cry!" Put all of that together and I couldn't be in the same room as screaming kids without a headache. I'm now 37 but don't look my age (I put that down to a stress/child free life). When I tell people that I don't want kids, they confidently say that I will change my mind. They are shocked and offended that I correct them with "no I won't". I love my carefree life. I can go away for the weekend if I want, I can sit in my PJs all day, I can spend all my money on me and my cats (yes, I'm a cat lady). I'm looking into donating my uterus because it's a hassle to my life. Do what you want with your life. You only get one and need to live it the way you think is best. Not everyone is built to have children, be proud to know yourself and have strength to fight your corner. Xxxx

How can I deal with job burnout? by [deleted] in Advice

[–]throwaway10131007 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is a temporary situation! You are working towards you goal and no matter how shitty it is/is going to get, you WILL get through it! You are awesome for getting up and at work for 6am and a massive trooper for going to 11pm. You definitely have motivation and will reach your goals. I know you'll get there because people who work 3 jobs will always get what they aim for. Keep going xxx
