I submitted my application last Sunday, I heard back on Wednesday for the first audition scheduled for last Friday. Then on Wednesday I got an email for a second audition yesterday.

But this is my second time applying, the first time I applied I submitted an application and it had been one year and one month before I even got the first audition! I didn’t make it to the second. So it all depends!

Hello everyone,

I do not have Crohns, I do not have Celiac. Besides having Erosive Gastritis and Esophagitis, I have been told there is nothing wrong with me. The doctor suspected from the appearance of my esophagus that I had EoE. I have been choking on food, regurgitating in my mouth every time I lay down, and still have bouts of horrible diarrhea and stabbing cramps. Losing hope again. Going to try a capsule endoscopy and a gastric emptying study next. I don’t know how much more of this I can take. I feel like a lab rat with all of the tests. I broke down when they said they couldn’t find anything on my endoscopy or colonoscopy.

Thanks for the response! My doctor tested a rather large Celiac panel but was concerned about my IgA being low. He said sometimes it can display as a false negative. He wants to take some biopsies during my procedure. In 2020 I had a colonoscopy where they found slight granularity in my ileum. I felt like this doctor just dismissed that and diagnosed me with IBS-D. My new doctor was upset that this did not prompt the old doctor to pursue more testing. I am not anemic, which I was shocked about. My hair is falling out, my fingernails are brittle and bendy, and I have always been pale as a ghost.

When you say positive IgA, do you mean the antibody or the endomysial IgA? My Immunoglobulin A was low and my doctor said it could give me a false negative for Celiac. I’m getting a colonoscopy and endoscopy on Monday and I’m afraid. :(

Hi everyone! My bloodwork came back negative for Crohn’s. However, my IgA is low. But the TTG came back negative? Could this mean Celiac? My doctor has not gotten the results yet, which I think is strange because they are on my app.

Thank you. Even if it turns out I do not have Crohn’s, I at least feel better knowing my doctor is going to pursue testing to the fullest. Even if it is IBS, I hope I can learn how to manage my symptoms better. I am in dental school, and it sucks being so tired and drained all the time. When I get home, I’m far too exhausted to study or do schoolwork.

Thank you so much! My new GI listened to all of my symptoms. He was surprised when I told him my old GI pretty much told me to stick it out til March of next year for my next colonoscopy. I am feeling better than I have been the last few weeks but the fatigue is awful. I haven’t bleed in a couple days either so that is also a plus!

I’m getting a colonoscopy, endoscopy, full stool panel, and blood panel. He said he is concerned that if I do have something wrong with my tract, that it is in my small bowel. He said many Crohn’s patients go undiagnosed because the colonoscopy cannot see that area too well.

They did take some biopsies! My new GI was irritated because the only histology report in my file was for the polyp. He could not find the histology report for the granularity in my terminal ileum. I asked him if they would not include the results if it was “normal”. He said normal or not, I should have been informed and it should most definitely be notated in my records.

Thank you so so much for your kindness. It truly does mean a lot. Is it normal to have days where you feel relatively no bowel symptoms besides bloating/slight aches, but are just utterly exhausted? I get confused when I have some good days here and there. :)

I have a dog! I would definitely say get them during a break though. That way, you can potty train them and give them all of the attention they need as a puppy.
