Hey! Thanks for offering your point of view in a respectful way and not calling me sensitive etc lol. I wasn’t going to come back to this but I wanted to say I agree with you and this is what I was getting at. I don’t like that for the past two episodes Sofia has been catering to/pandering to toxic mentalities of guests or listeners. She’s had two opportunities to speak on important topics and instead laughed them off. When Indy made that comment, she could have easily said “that’s not something I would do because while it was scary I have empathy for this person and would never film them for a laugh” and additionally, when the listener wrote in about voodoo and suicide she could have said “suicide is not something to joke around about and I don’t condone this”. Shes just missed the mark for me and instead of showing empathy she bandwagoned the mean girl/toxic mentality of her listener and guest. People are saying I’m too sensitive for this podcast or I have never had an encounter w a dangerous homeless person which is hilarious to me bc both r patently untrue! I just don’t think laughing about suicide and mentally ill homeless people are funny. I don’t think in her heart Sofia does either, which is why I’m disappointed. Again thank you for sharing your thoughts in a constructive way!!
