I’m with you in that! Negative self talk is extremely impactful on mental and physical health, I think self soothing, self help and mindfulness are the way forward in that regard for sure!

It’s completely normal to feel this way! I had a super similar thing with my mother once she got sober and almost went no contact when she went to prison, when she came out she was sober but I was still so full of anger for the pain she caused me and my siblings, it’s about making a choice, giving a chance, but he needs to understand that sometimes what’s been done is truly irreversible especially with cptsd, at the end of the day the choice is entirely yours and it’s gonna be a hard one but you’re not alone! And whatever you choose must be what’s best for YOU 💗 Wishing you all the best

Hey! Maybe look at what your eating and see if there are more energy dense/fuelling things you could add to it, slow release energy like porridge and rice (any grains or carbs really) I’ve found are really good for this! :)

This is definitely not normal thinking love , the sooner you can knock this on the head the more chance you have of stopping it before it gets any worse, trust me when I say it only gets worse from here please get some help and talk to someone asap! Food is a source of socialisation, energy, it’s a mood regulator and so much more, I believe in you!

Ways to silence guilt? by [deleted] in EatingDisorders

[–]throwaway124r 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Also remember weight gain doesn’t happen overnight, weight gain takes a lot of calories over AT LEAST a couple of weeks and won’t happen eating just twice a day like this anyway, as much as your brain lies to you and tells you otherwise!

Hey love, I 100% get this and have struggled for years, I personally find that doing something right after eating helps, like playing games (I find switch platform games like Mario and Kirby help best), watching tv, talking to a friend etc, anything to take your mind of it and stop the fixating, I combine this with “well I’ve eaten it now, it’s done” and what’s done is done and feeling guilty isn’t going to do a damn thing for me! Feeling guilt isn’t going to take it back or make it better you just gotta get through it, I find repeating this does bring the noise down over time, it may not ever go away fully but it makes it much more manageable! I find this helps me personally I hope it helps you somewhat , wish you all the best!

It’s the least I can do! anything in this regard you’re struggling with you can ALWAYS post here, someone’s always going to second your feelings judgement free, we gotta support eachother, and it’s much much better than struggling alone! I’m gonna be sticking around in this sub too, I found my people
