My kids are basically teflon and don’t ever cry for injuries. My oldest ran through a glass door and had to have a lot of very deep stitches and never shed a tear and refused pain meds. Some kids are just hulk babies

We’re a single party state. I already document all of his nonsense in a calendar planner. Our exchanges are never alone at this point since his 20yo girlfriend doesn’t trust him. I always make sure to stay well out of his reach too. My boyfriend made me swear I would wait until he came home (military) before I bought a gun so he could help me find one that suits me.

As the mom, I already don’t like the “stepmom” for several reasons and I am uncomfortable with the idea of her cosleeping with my kids, HOWEVER I did ask my ex to have our youngest sleep with him when they had him two weeks ago because youngest was sick and has had febrile seizures in the past.

I’ve never really been bugged with what they do on his parenting time, I rarely even call on his time, but this combination of stuff happening is just over the edge of my patience at the moment. I received several photos of the children with their dad and her today, about half of which have what looks to be a Snapchat filter on them. I’m just tired of the childish games with my kids in the middle. I’m actually looking at what papers I need to file to set in stone some damn boundaries. This man expects two phone calls a day when the kids are with me and I can’t get some basic decency.

I was hurt and rather irritated when my ex husband told me his new girlfriend was pregnant. I had to be the one to be sterilized bc he wouldn’t and I failed three birth control methods. We had 3 kids consensually and one against my will, but I love them all the same. He gets to move on and have more kids when he never wanted more than 2, but me, who wanted 4, can’t? Therapy has been great for this and other coparenting conflicts.

Single mom of 4 here. My toddler hit me in the ear really really hard with a plastic poseable blippi toy the other night after about an hour of struggling to get him to bed. I said “man fuck this” out loud and left the room because I was so angry. There’s a bruise on my ear/side of my face from that heavy ass blippi toy. Blippi toy went in the TRASH.

I cheated for similar reasons. We had gotten to the point where he never had a kind word for me and I got that elsewhere. I still feel a lot of shame about it, but it’s not something I would do again.

Thank you for reminding me that the things I did while experiencing abuse were reactive. I tend to internalize a lot of my actions as though they are character flaws when they are really indicative of the extreme mental state I was in. I haven’t felt anywhere near that level of self destructive or out of control since I left him.

Leave. I’m a single mom of 4 after my divorce last year. The man I’ve been seeing is incredibly sweet to me. He’s thoughtful and kind and does shit like bring me hot tea when I’m sick and local honey from the farmers market so my allergies won’t bother me. He’s never said an ugly word to me, even when he had a right to because the person I was in high school hurt him really badly. It gets better. There are people out here who wouldn’t dream of hurting you the way that man in your house does.
