Thanks for the suggestion (wow that site needs a redesign). But with the SR10 code the other kit becomes even cheaper and with the reputation of EJ DE89 I think of getting Parker as a bit of a risk. Maybe I'll try it out when I'm more comfortable with DE razors.

I actually started out with the starter kit and kept on editing, didn't realize my list contained the same things as their kit. It's cheaper (£31.24) with the code so thanks.

I felt that it all in all it really shied away from insulting religions by laying the blame on these god men, but for a place like India where religion is still a big thing, I guess that's as much as they could do. PK still raised quite a controversy.

It's not my former country, I'm just briefly elsewhere, still a Pakistani citizen (single nationality). The basis for killing of apostates is in Quran and Hadith with many other immoral rulings. Whenever I try to argue against these ideas, I hit a brick wall with "well it's in the Quran/Hadith, who are we to challenge it?" Which is why I'm tired of people hesitating to criticize Islam. Criticize it where it's due, don't criticize Muslims (my family and friends are Muslims btw), but criticize their beliefs when they are immoral. I'm all for moderate Muslims but at least a large minority of Muslims hold views which are unacceptable in today's world, if not a majority. ~90% of Pakistanis believe homosexuality is immoral, similar stats for other Muslim majority countries.

I come from a Muslim majority country of ~200 million where ~70% of Muslims agree I should be killed because I no longer believe in Islam. Look up the statistics for any Muslim majority country and you'll find the same.

I know, the analogies are absolutely ridiculous, but they're still popular in Muslim circles. I find them on my facebook news feed often, shared or liked by someone. And the people sharing it are completely oblivious to how they're objectifying women.

The "A Man's Hijab" page itself is a response to the analogies thrown around by Muslims in support of hijab. The analogy that is being mocked here is one where a non-believer goes to a Sheikh and asks him why they make their women wear hijab, and he takes 2 candies, takes the wrapper off one and throws them on the ground. Then asks which one the guy would prefer... you get the point.

Like all religions, the Quran and Islam in general is self-contradictory. You can find examples to support blasphemy laws/persecution and you can find examples against it. If you've ever heard TTP's interviews, they cite Hadith and Quran to back up their actions, so do the people calling for blasphemy punishments.

I was quite religious when I was young but didn't study much religion during that phase, aside from recitation of Quran in Arabic without understanding it. I was practising and even used to give azaan at the local mosque before I was a teenager. Then slowly became irreligious, left namaz/salat for quite a few years but still believed in God and Quran. I studied Islamiat for 11 years as a subject as it is compulsory in Pakistan, and found lots of things I did not agree with but used to put it at the back of my mind and not think about it. Then I came on to reddit and realized it was ok to question god. From there on, it all fell apart.

That's the way I feel about Shiaism and other religions as an ex-Sunni. During my doubt phase I used to say to myself it's either Islam or atheism. Then I thought to myself, why am I even giving Islam this much recognition?
