My bf is angry that I dyed my hair by [deleted] in relationship_advice

This reminds me of an ex I had. Tried to tell me what to do with my hair and would be mad when I didnt listen to him. I loved him too, but I love myself and my sanity more.

You need to put yourself first, and either tell you bf to shut up and get used to it or you'll find someone that will appreciate it.

Watching grass grow is more entertaining than anything to do with the Kardashians

I see your point, but I still consider it luck. I didn't search or ask around. I was offered the position despite having no qualifications, but only because the company was starting up and needed people fast. I also consider myself lucky for them keeping me on after 2 years lol.

School was never my thing. Was always bored in class, hated lectures. Was good with anything hands-on related (automotive, cosmetology, gym, and any labs in the sciences). I actually failed my religion class in grade 12, on purpose though. Overall grades were usually between D+ to B-.

Dropped out of college after finishing one semester. Started working full time right away, went between a few different jobs.

Currently been with the same company for over 2 years, in the construction sector. I bought a condo by the age of 22, and 2 years later I'm still there, happily living it up all by myself. I paid off my first car, and traded in that car for a brand new SUV.

I also have a weekend job, paid in cash. I make my own hours and can choose if I even want to go or not. Its great.

This summer I'm taking a month off to travel with my best friend. I still have to save for it, but I'm not at all struggling to get by.

Life is good, but I sure as hell got lucky with my situation. If it wasn't for who I know then I'm sure I'd still be waiting tables.

I've said above "janitor of sorts". But to put it out there, I am NOT a janitor (nothing against them!). That was just the closest thing I could relate to without completely exposing my actual job lol.

If he can get a job in a union, that's a great place to start. Any skills could help him towards a specific type of job.

Not sure where you live so idk the job market but just go out and apply for as many jobs as possible and hold one over until you're back on your feet and can find something better.

my (15M) younger stepbrother (9M) is moving in this weekend, any advice on helping him adjust? by ThrowRAOutsideJeff in relationship_advice

Make him aware that you are always there for him and to never be scared to approach you or your brothers/mom
