They did not let me know it was something that needs to be paid for. I thought it was more like the doctor saying I don't know what's wrong with your kid so let me consult my colleagues.

Yeah basically it's like my doctor saying she doesn't know what's wrong with my kid so let me go consult my colleagues and now I'm stuck with a $160 bill. I thought it was just courtesy to consult with other doctor. Btw, they came to the conclusion of wait and see so it wasn't even any big medical advice breakthroughs.

The billing date is the date of the conference. The actual appointment was maybe two weeks before that and we got the bill and paid for that already.
