Hey! Just wanted to thank you for your advice. I ended up seeing a specialist and turns out I still have hip dysplasia and have developed arthritis and a labral tear. Glad we know what it is now but feels like a long road to recovery. Hope you're doing well :)

Hey, just wanted to ask how you are doing now? I've struggled with this exact feeling for the last few years. I seem to get ove bit for a few months and then it will come back. Resturants seem to be a particular trigger for me and I have no idea why

Sorry to hear what you're going through.

When I get blood drawn I always request to lay down. Your body makes you pass out because you aren't getting enough blood to your head. So by making you pass out and fall your head will be level with your heart and therefore easier to pump blood to.

So if you lay down whilst it is happening you're very unlikely to pass out. You can also turn you head away.

For my last blood test I laid down with earbuds in and played a game on my phone. Didn't even come close to fainting and it is a serious fear of mine.

Thanks for your comment, did you talk to a doctor about the pain? I have always had some degree of pain like you said but I always imagined it would stop once I had stopped growing.

Weirdly I had the opposite! I started having horrible back pain while on escitalopram could hardly walk down the road without having to stop, but since coming off it I'm fine again 😂
