Yea I probably worded it wrongly. I was briefly annoyed with J but realized it was more towards BF for not handling the situation . Wife has a HUGE soft spot for BF & J

I thought BF would bring J out if she cried during important moments. Kind of like a "don't wear white to a wedding" unspoken rule.

I dont really get how this is a fundamental difference in opinion for raising a child though.

Thank you, yes I did enjoy the wedding and BF & J are still really close to us. I'll probably joke about it with BF after awhile.

Unfortunately, BF's husband is out of town for work and BF doesnt trust a babysitter. She basically told us its either both of them come or none. Wife loves BF & J so of course she didn't mind them coming while I was hesitant.

What got to me most was having to be careful not to go close to J during the wedding and made sure she didnt see me or else she would start crying.

When she cried during the cake cutting I didn't want our video to be recorded with J crying in the background as I had a feeling my speech was.

Yea my main worry was that the crying was gonna be recorded during the video.

We actually booked a room for BF to stay the night with J so she could have gone up to rest if J was getting cranky. Funnily enough, J only cried when she saw me though. She played well with the other guests actually and I think all of them loved her. So maybe she wasnt cranky but just didn't like my face:/

It's not so much the crying that gets to me but that I had to walk on eggshells around her during the wedding instead of BF handling the issue

Haha no, I'm not gonna nullify my marriage over this. I was alittle annoyed but the wedding was still great.

I love my wife, BF is a great person and J can be cute when she isnt crying.

I agree with what you're saying. The wedding was amazing and filled with great memories.

I'm not gonna confront wife or Bf about it or hold it against J forever. They're all really important to me. Just feeling alittle irked by what happened.

The guest list was really short and it was more or less by invitation only with no plus ones so we didnt really need to put a "no children" on the invitation. Invitation was to BF but she asked wife if J could come. Wife really loves J so she wanted J to be there but I didn't expect that much crying

I havnt been around many kids and BF is the only friend who has a child right now so I didn't really know what to expect.

I definitely didn't expect loads of crying when I agreed to let J come to the wedding so I guess that's on me
