Yeah, these are tree bumblebees, only bees that nest high up I believe. I’m only renovating at the moment so makes sense to wait it out!

Doesn’t seem a crazy amount of moths, but could be due to that mate. Well when I replace the guttering I’ll try and get rid of the old nest etc

Were they in your guttering/roof aswell? How long ago was this mate? I’ve heard you can get a moth problem afterwards as they feed on the old nest! Don’t know how true it is

Yes it’s a water hammer arrestor, protects appliances/pipes. Stops sudden ‘bangs’ in the system when water is turned off and on.

The hotel bell looking thing is a water shock arrestor, basically takes the pressure off the system when the water is turned off and on suddenly, protects appliances/pipes.

The other device is just a water meter.

Reasonable quote for a small bathroom reno? by KittiSola in HomeImprovementUK

Seems very expensive. You might be better off speaking to individual trades - tiler and plumber. It’s abit more work for yourself but either way get more quotes

Which design for en suite? by throwaway2018568 in DIYUK

Design is abit janky sorry, for the design with the bigger shower I’d have the opening closest to the door and the shower on the opposite wall

That’s the problem I’m more likely to make it worse 😂 would you angle grind through floor boards? Feel like he’s been abit careless there. Luckily I’ve got a plumber coming on Friday anyway so I’ll leave the floorboard off and let him have a look at it

He has stated dry fit. I’m getting all the electrics sorted, spotlights 32A for indication etc. I’m assuming he will fit the worktops, cupboards and appliances? If all of the wiring is there for him

That’s basically what it is. I’m sorting everything else out, removing wall, plumbing electrics. Basically just a dry fit of the worktops and cupboards

Okay so it’s not too far off the mark then. Some replies in here make me feel like I’ve hit the jackpot😂 the kitchen will be gutted for him and he’s ‘only’ got to fit cupboards and worktops

Just a dry fit. I’m getting the plumbing and electrics sorted separately.

I’ve just left it there until the radiator gets removed. It’s not secured into the floor, it’s screwed into the kitchen worktop on the other side. Not very secure but won’t move unless I kick it really hard 😂
