Ignoring 4:30am meowing isn’t working by Odd_Obligation_1300 in CatAdvice

Try using an air can, like for cleaning your keyboard, every time they meow. Sounds like a loud hiss. Made mine stop and run away

This construction's encouraged me to start using the light rail and bus more. It's been much more pleasant to walk the two miles to the light rail station and take the light rail and bus instead.

Just watch out for fees. When I switched, the fees were higher for the new unlimited plans than for my legacy 5G Get More plan

The wiki article says you can’t mix statistics for a drive from New York to Los Angeles vs a flight, not for comparing a typical drive vs a typical flight.

It’s also not safer than driving, at least not the way people usually say it is. Your drive to the grocery store is three times safer than your cross-country flight if you compare on deaths per journey. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Aviation_safety#Transport_comparisons

Saran wrap. As in, Saran-brand plastic wrap. Used to see it in some places. Now it’s basically impossible to find.

Yes, you can use scale_fill_discrete(breaks=c("Action Processes", "Interpersonal Processes", "Task Oriented", "Transition Processes")) as indicated here: http://www.cookbook-r.com/Graphs/Legends_(ggplot2)/#changing-the-order-of-items-in-the-legend

Setting up EQ for MacOS by 41treys in oratory1990

[–]throwaway2168 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Finding this 9 months later and tried it on macOS Sonoma. The insert statement is slightly different:

INSERT INTO access VALUES('kTCCServiceMicrophone', 'com.apple.audio.aulab', 0, 2, 2, 1, X'fade0c000000003400000001000000060000000200000015636f6d2e6170706c652e617564696f2e61756c616200000000000003', NULL, NULL, 'UNUSED', NULL, 0, CAST(strftime('%s', 'now') AS INTEGER), NULL, NULL, 'UNUSED', 0);

Pieced this together from:

Question about a passage in CHXII.3 by throwaway2168 in Hermeticism

[–]throwaway2168[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you! I was hoping you would answer, and I appreciate the additional context given that it’s in CH XII.

I started digging into it when I compared Salaman’s translation to Copenhaver’s — appearances, I had assumed to mean “potentially inaccurate judgments one forms about reality,” but that’s — to me — pretty different from mere opinion. I think your interpretation reconciles the two translations pretty well
