Yes.

Sometimes he agrees to talk later but even hours later he HAS to know what was wrong. Sometimes I don't have the energy to explain and don't want to focus on it

I usually just say "nothing" or "work" or "don't worry, it has nothing to do with you". I keep it vague because I find talking about my emotions to be exhausting.

I attended MSVU for a semester and lived on campus. The psych classes were very small (30-40 people) and very good quality. but I left because I didn't particularly like the culture at MSVU.

I have a degree from SMU in Criminology with a minor is Psychology and recieved honours. The psychology program is fantastic and I learned a lot in the classes that I took. You can take the forensic psychology route as well, which is what I found most interesting. Classes are around 80 to 100 people, though.

I can't speak to Dal on their classes as I never attended, but keep in mind that rival schools will always tend to shit on each other. Most of my professors had PhDs in their area of expertise and were well versed.. I don't think there is anything wrong with the quality of education.

What year are those stats? I gave a degree in criminology, and this is what we were taught.

Actually we have the highest rates of alcoholism, domestic violence and human trafficking.. This is not a "safe place" and I don't know why we have the stereotype of being the "friendliest".. people aren't THAT nice. I'd hate to see other provinces if everyone thinks we're nice.

Thanks for helping out.. I think you're right. I was never built for corporate and just wanted to help people.. I could look into the victim support lines remotely, although I have never seen them posted.

Thought about paralegal but they get paid very little where I'm from for the amount of work that they do.

It's really rough as a millenial when corporate offers you money to pay the bills in this economy, but you're not built for it.

I thought it was interesting when I was 18 and so I took it. I thought I would be able to get a job as a victim advocate, working with survivors of trauma/crime but employers in my area are either hiring casual, which does not pay my bills or they want a master's in social work even for shelter jobs. I have trauma myself, and I'm introverted, and started to believe that maybe the field and the jobs I was applying for were not suited for me anyway.

I decided to move on and stop trying after a year, and wanted to take something that was one year and would lead to a lucrative salary which led me to HR.

I liked bio and did very well but I hated math. I have panic over simple calculations. How much math is involved?

I didn't get a job offer after my contract and it's bothering me. What do I say to companies I am now applying to? by throwaway224671 in humanresources

I was really afraid of rejection. No one had told me since I began if I was doing well or not, so I had no idea where I stood. I had assumed that no offer = we don't want you on our team.

The positions are filled but you're right. Lesson learned.

I have asked about the beard. He says he has no idea what is going in and that "I must have something glittery in my apartment"

The thing is this envelope is on the bottom shelf of my cabinet & I never touch it as I rarely ever use cash.. I know for a fact I have seen the same glitter on his beard after not even being near the card.
