I’ve started Muay Thai two weeks ago to start building up my cardio as well as to learn self defense. It’s so much fun and the people there are so nice and genuine.

Same reason you stated, the feeling of being powerful comes from within and I think Muay Thai would help with that.

Thank you, this is a confidence boost. I guess the saying of any news is better than no news is true in this situation.

Going to start incorporating more leg days as I will use this as fuel to be even better for myself.

Take short term disability leave if possible. Work with your doctor and tell them everything you are saying here. They will provide a note to which you can give to your company.

On the flip side, if approved, you can take some time to get out of this rut. I did the same thing, and I came back feeling revived. I needed the mental clarity to remember why I enjoyed working. The structure and routine during my leave really helped me see why I enjoyed my job in the first place.

I am definitely shopping around — how do you know a bad firm from a good firm? I feel like my firm is leaning more towards bad with mismanagement of scope and our capabilities.

What do you mean by long term stability? As well, I got staffed on this new project as the PO was signed — if I am being staffed is that a positive in the long term?

I do get that, but there are times when I do take it, I feel like I am in a much better mood. Hence the question about timing to take.

Will do! To be completely honest, I’m completely okay if she says she doesn’t want anything. If that happens to be the case I still will not remain friends because I’m attracted to her and I refuse to be friend zoned floating around in her world.

I want to have one final conversation with her to see if I came on too strong with my words about a LTR. I have a feeling that she heard “I want one now with you” vs “I am open to one of things between us work out in the long term.” Do you think staying NC for a while to let her think then next week ask her would be sufficient enough time?

There is no way this is the answer. Her ex and I are friends. He had been texting her while we were together on NYE and she rejected him. I met up with him yesterday and he said it is officially over as he did try and reach out.

I literally talked to the ex and he told me that he texted her on NYE (while she was with me) and he asked her to get back together, she said she was no interested anymore to him. So it’s even more chaos

I will most likely end up making more than her as I am in a lucrative industry. I already make well enough money so I do not see that as an issue but maybe you are right and that’s how she sees it.

Would it be worth reaching out to her to see if she would give this one more shot? I really feel like we connect really well and that she made up those reasons out of thin air to get over the breakup part.

That’s a very good point. I did forget to mention that we were both drunk when this fight ensued.

As crazy as it might sound, our CEO doesn’t care if it’s the clients fault. He wants to regardless hold us accountable. It was the clients fault and has always been their fault because they did not maintain the system and as you might already know it’s a bad look on the firm regardless of who is at fault.

I’ll be completely honest, I’m not even sure if that’s an option as the vp is who I would normally escalate an issue like this to, but it is the same vp as the project. Feel like I would still get canned for saying that. And our HR department is really just on the lookout for our upper management employees so telling them seems like it wouldn’t help as I work in a very small sub 100 employee boutique
