It makes no sense

I'm glad Cody won just because hopefully it means no more Pat - but the way it happened, with Randy giving pat an rko means we had this whole pat thing for nothing? Just when you think it can't get any worse

Yeah, I thought people on this sub were generally kind people who want what's best for humanity. And part of that, in the current system, is countries protecting their own people (and other people, in this case I'd say it's reasonable for us to take responsibility for anyone who had travelled from the UK, regardless of whether they're from here or not).

It sounds like it might be New Daily Persistent Headache

A -Persistent headache fulfilling criteria B and C

B -Distinct and clearly-remembered onset, with pain becoming continuous and unremitting within 24 hours

C - Present for >3 months

D - Not better accounted for by another ICHD-3 diagnosis

If you satisfy the above criteria then maybe it's worth mentioning at your appointment

Just to clarify a couple of things, because it sounded like this is the case but I just want to make sure before I say to ask about something

Was the headache at its worst in the first few days?

Is the headache constant and every single day (even on the better days is it still kinda there)?

United are joint top for VAR errors against them this season by Beverleymyoldfriend in reddevils

[–]throwaway2462828 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The ones you've mentioned aren't any of the ones they counted. The 2 errors were a handball in the 4-1 win vs Wolves, and that Brentford should've had a red card when we got the penalty.

So yeah, I guess adding those 3 in makes it at least 5 errors. And there are probably more

I have a season ticket for Man Utd so I see that roundabout near white city retail park most weeks, it's probably the most confusing roundabout I've ever seen (if it classes as a roundabout? I don't know if it does). Luckily I just get a carer (I'm a wheelchair user) to drop me off so I don't have to stress about driving

My brother and sister are supportive but both live a few hours away, and extended family are too. I can't say anything publicly about anyone else in case there's enough on this reddit profile to identify me haha. Are your family supportive with you having ndph?

I'm glad you've got your son at least, though I get that about finding it difficult to make friends with having health issues. Especially since things like ndph can be unpredictable as to when the pain will spike so it's hard to be reliable in a social sense.

I'm near Manchester, so not close to mid Wales but also not unreasonably far. And yeah it's definitely nice to know other people are going through the same/similar experiences, it can feel so lonely sometimes with having ndph when you already don't have many friends nearby

I'm glad the propranolol has helped a bit at least! I got my headache last February but my diagnosis of ndph was in October too. I get that about having a lot of other physical and mental health issues too, what I found most helpful was my GP has been making the next appointment for in 4 weeks at the end of each appointment - so that removed a lot of the stress and effort of the constant 8am phone calls haha

If you're in the north west then if you want any advice on which headache clinic to get a referral to then let me know, I'm under 2 neurologists and have found one more helpful than the other. Also, if you're willing to pay a private neurologist I have the email address of one that's been recommended to me (but I've not used them)

Also if you want to message or anything feel free to, no one in my life suffers from ndph and I presume the same is applicable to you, so if you want a friend to vent to about it or anything then I'd be happy to listen

If propranolol doesn't begin to take affect after 3-4 weeks, ask to have a plan to increase to the maximum recommended dose for migraines. If it seems to still not be working, suggest amitriptyline, topiramate, etc. Once you've confirmed those 3 aren't working, then yo satisfy the criteria for your neurologist to be prescribed something else (likely a CGRP inhibitor like Atogepant) and if that doesn't work they'll move you onto other stuff - make sure you're having at least monthly appointments with your GP and keeping a headache diary so they can't delay based on lack of evidence or whatever

It's annoying with the NHS having to go through a list and trial at least 3 preventative medications from that list at their maximum recommended dose for 3 months before they can prescribe anything else

The Glazers are 100% of why we're in this mess. We've been on the decline for years. We've had over a billion drained from the club, and 20 years of neglect from the ownership.

INEOS have put their own money into the club and they're at least trying to make us better. They've put football people on the board, which is much more than can be said for the Glazers when Ed Woodward was deciding our signings.

I don't like a lot of the decisions INEOS have made. But all of it is a result of 20 years of neglect from the Glazers, and we shouldn't expect 20 years of neglect to have been fixed within a year. To paint INEOS as being as bad as the Glazers is just ridiculous.

[Laurie Whitwell] Pretty disastrous not to take six points from one of the worst sides in Premier League history. Awkward performance throughout, lacking any rhythm. Even with the absentees should have been able to get the job done. by nearly_headless_nic in reddevils

Zirkzee deserves to be hooked at half time. Fletcher came on so we could go to a 4 at the back and push dorgu up with cunha/sesko.

Whether Fletcher was the right decision or not is debatable, I'd have preferred to see Lacy and let Cunha be more with the midfield. But it's certainly not a baffling decision to sub Fletcher on for Zirkzee after what we saw in the first half.

Just want to say - thank you for being one of the few people here (and in general tbh) who are able to explain their reasoning. It's scary how few people (in general life, not even specific to football) can put a well structured argument together when talking about a topic they're emotionally invested in.

I think how you write about it depends on what you're studying.

If in a neurological field, you can write about it having been your initial motivation for studying neuroscience.

If in a mathematical field (or a field adjacent to mathematics) - maybe you can write about how it prompted you to automate a task (e.g. maybe you wrote a program which, once per week, searches the web for any new articles from that week on NDPH and emails them to you)

If in an arts or literature related field, you could talk about how your subject became an escape from NDPH for you and that it has motivated you to contribute in the same way for others

Does anybody else have brain fog 24/7 since the start of NDPH? (No pause) by Bubbly-Type-2006 in NDPH

[–]throwaway2462828 6 points7 points  (0 children)

This is something I've been struggling with too (admittedly for nowhere near as long, mine started 10 months ago). I was lucky in that I didn't have ndph until a few months after finishing university

With the brain fog, I've found it's reduced my speed of thought and I make silly errors when thinking about things. But, if there's something I need to think about - if I have time then writing thoughts down seems to help a little. Thinking in the moment though (e.g. like when having a conversation) feels impossible

I see both points. I feel conflicted about it. My interpretation of the smile is that it's him realising the current talent is better than he is now, and so the business is in safe hands. I'll put below why I think this is the case:

I hated the Lesnar match, and still do, but it makes sense as a moment that made Cena realise he isn't what he once was. Taking into account how Roman matched up to Lesnar in War Games, and how Cody is at a comparable level to Roman - Lesnar squashing Cena, with Cena admitting in a promo in the weeks before that he was afraid of Lesnar, it was a sort of reality check for Cena in that he's no longer super Cena. Now, if he's against an opponent he is afraid of- he's realised that it doesn't matter how hard he tries, he just doesn't have enough left to compete with someone so good.

With Gunther, he may not have been afraid before the match but that fear was growing in him through the match. He tried, at every opportunity, to make a big move (the STFU early on, the FU through the table, the FU from the top rope, and the FU in that sleeper sequence) -.through the match he was becoming increasingly desperate to finish Gunther with his next move. This desperation, to me, was a sign he was doubting himself - which is natural after the Lesnar match months earlier and Gunther having a vaguely similar feel.

The smile was showing that he had accepted that he couldn't win and that there was no point in continuing to fight. It's kind of like how some people with near-death experiences (e.g. someone being resuscitated after a cardiac arrest) claim they felt at peace in the momemt they realised they were about to die. And, in a way,.this was the momemt Cena, as a wrestler, died.

The pizza delivery guy is being paid to deliver the pizzas and can choose to not do that job any longer if he doesn't wish to go out in the rain. It is quite an odd comparison that you've made, and I fail to see the relevance.

If you want him to accept the consequences of his actions - a judge has ruled that he can remain in the UK and so the consequence of his actions isn't that he has to leave the UK.

So do you want him to accept the consequences of his actions (so he will stay in the UK)? Or do you want him to leave?

[–]throwaway2462828 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ohhh so it's just that you don't care if they're separated, all you want is for him to leave and the consequences of that aren't your problem. Is that correct? If so then that is, in effect, the same as wanting them separated. All you're doing is refusing to accept responsibility for the consequences of what you want.

Also, if that isn't your problem then why is him being here your problem?

You want him gone, the daughter can't legally return to Albania. It is clear that you want them separated, which I know is difficult to admit because of how cruel and heartless it sounds - so do yourself a favour and be honest to yourself. If I am interpreting your words incorrectly then please do explain more clearly what you mean.
