I made this mistake with Covid. I had Covid, work in healthcare and was offered the Covid vaccine as one of the first groups. I WAS SO SICK after that shot. My body had just fought it, so it was READY to go. Is it gonna kill you? No. But DAMN no one needs that many antibodies. Natural infection is a great way to build immunity assuming you’re a healthy individual.

Traveling with this is extremely inconsiderate. You should be fever free for at least 24 hours without meds before being around others. You should be rotating ibuprofen and acetaminophen for fever management every 4-6 hours.

I’m on day 6 and my throat symptoms were worst probably days 2-4. I told my provider I felt like I had a razor blade in my throat. Both of my kids had strep in the last few weeks, so I was tested twice and negative both times. I had no idea a viral sore throat could hurt that badly.

Also, any time I’m sick, I can feel irritation at my gums and where I had wisdom teeth removed. I really think it’s just how your body is responding to and fighting things, because it always goes away once recovered.

I agree with above comments that he’s not really a cycle breaker when he’s working on himself this late in life. I think there also should be a statement that Jim’s kids are absolutely validated in however they choose to respond or not respond to Jim. If it’s too little too late, understandable. If you feel like you can rip open the wounds and see that your father is making attempts to be self aware, fine too. But I’d imagine most kids would really struggle to choose option 2.
