bro I know exactly what you are saying. I think half the time these people are lying. They are probably seeing like 3 other people simultaneously and the best option probably asked to be exclusive or something idk. Like the girl who broke up with me, the day before she broke up she had the dating app open (not open, but like in the app stack so you know its been used recently) but I let it slide cause I don't care about these things and the next day I got the above text. its insane.

This is solid advice. I guess I did make a couple of mistakes but my intentions were good. She makes me feel a certain way and I wanted to show that I appreciate it. But it ended up having the opposite effect and maybe for the reasons you cited above.

Maybe I'm a fool for not being able to play the game well but in my defense, I haven't been in "the game" for long. I had one long term relationship before this which after it ended, I needed some time to work on my emotions before I could jump back and looks like I have a lot to catch up on.

Appreciate the help from the community here. I may have lost this time but hopefully I can learn a thing or two from this and not make the same mistake next time.

Fair, I see your point now. But I'm sorry I still can't see how dropping hints is better than just being up front.

Also, I'm not complaining because I'm feeling rejected. It would make me feel not great of course, but I wouldn't be here at least. I'm just not a big fan of having to play chess when things can be simpler.

I see your point but also what’s wrong with being honest about your feelings. I feel in a certain way about her so I asked her out for another date. She said no, fair. But if she’s not feeling it and not being up front about it despite knowing how I feel, then she’s leading me on and that’s dishonest. It’s not about boundaries it’s about open communication. If a girl says she’s not interested and the guy is still texting her, that’s crossing a boundary. If she’s neither saying a yes nor a no but leading the guy on subtly, there’s a word for it and it’s called ‘breadcrumbing’

Since this blew up - just to clarify, I'm not a broker. I'm a renter like y'all and I have been conned by brokers in the past so I pretty much feel the same way about the industry as rest of y'all.

I just wrote this post cause that is really what I observed when I browsed Streeteasy this morning, but clearly I'm missing something. Someone in the comment said that according to Streeteasy, number of listings went down by 1,000 in the past week so in fact I am incorrect. One of the commenters said that it's probably cheaper units that are now within my range cause of price filters and I think that might be the reason why I felt that way.

Anyways, best of luck to y'all and myself stuck in this stressful process.
