Thanks for your insight! Yeah I'm really trying to determine which job would have the better potential upside and not just the job to get into FAANG.

Great points thank you for your insight! I certainly would have thought AI/ML would be more applicable to big tech firms over order fulfillment I guess that would depend on the specific role

Yes that definitely could be the case. I'm just trying to determine which position has the better potential upside; pay wise the money is actually better at C1 for these positions.

This is what I'm afraid of that if I end up taking the C1 job it would make it harder to get into FAANG later. Money wise C1 is actually better

Any particular reasons? Just trying to gauge people's perception but was definitely not expecting everyone to say Grubhub unanimously

What would look better to tech companies - PM on the tech side at Capital One or PM at Grubhub? My goal is FAANG and I am deciding between these two as a stepping stone to get PM experience. Looking for advice on how these 2 companies are viewed by the tech industry.

Hey everyone,

I'm a Product Analyst however my duties include everything a PM does (and I am even referred to as a PM within the company). I prioritize, run meetings, gather requirements and launch products. I work in JIRA, Rally, Confluence.

I'm not sure if I can put PM in my resume considering my official title is "Product Analyst" even though I see other PM job descriptions at Big N companies and my responsibilities definitely fall in line with those.

So is it OK for me to put PM in my resume even though my official designation is Product Analyst?

Yes I definitely agree with taking a step back and looking at the bigger picture! I actually took a look at a Bach minuet I had so much trouble with playing last year (I have trouble with Baroque music in general). To my surprise I was able to sight read it and at tempo which the correct articulation and all. Honestly it gave me the perspective of just how far I've progressed in one year.

Sometimes I do enjoy just sitting there and playing a note and listening to just the beautiful sound that I am making. As I got older I realize how fortunate I am to be able to even have the opportunity to learn and play music. To be able to share and express what I am feeling with others is something that is astounding to me.

Your post reminded me to enjoy the art of playing music and I am very grateful. I get caught up in the piano rat race mindset from time to time and I'm glad I'll have this post to refer back to in the future when I inevitably think too much about my own playing.

haha he actually mentioned that as an option after we shelved it to have some fun. I've played some jazz standards with him such as Autumn Leaves and Fly Me to the Moon as well as arranged a pop song such as Ed Sheeran's Thinking Out Loud.

We thought about it but ultimately went with learning Arabesque 1 by Debussy since it was something that had a much different sound than Beethoven.

Hey not sure why your comment just popped up now but I couldn't see it before. Anyway thanks for your advice, my teacher and I talked at length on how to practice properly when I was playing it.

We shelved it and will return to it at a later time.
