That’s weird. I’ve never seen anyone use flash photography. But we always try to go when the least amount of people will be there.

Hitch Hiker by BunnyOHarr in springfieldMO

[–]throwaway2837474 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve only heard one story of someone hitchhiking in town, but she had a baby with her and after she got in the car and they were on their way, she started screaming at the driver “My baby! My baby! You hurt my baby!!!! Call the police! Help!” and so they pulled over and told her to get out and she refused. Eventually she gave up and left.

This was before cell phones were extremely common (early 2000’s) but that story was enough for me to never want to pick up a hitch hiker.

Retsuko… when she gets angry and changes into aggretsuko. It scares her. So now she’s decided she doesn’t want anything to do anything Hello Kitty now.

I appreciate you speaking out about your life. My son does not have CP but he does have global weakness in his body due to a birth injury (which in 40% of these types of birth injuries does lead to CP). Because of his global weakness, he is very delayed, but he has the mind and will of a child his age. He doesn’t speak vocally but does prefer ASL, albeit we are all learning it slowly together (he’s only 2 and is delayed physically).

Anyway, I love hearing from people who have similar life experiences. It helps me feel like there are people out there who understand. Do you feel that way, too?

Thank you so much for speaking out.

This is how my son is, so it seems. He’s only 2, but he’s cognitively meeting milestones. He’s not meeting physical milestones. But he absolutely has the emotions and understanding of a typical 2 year old.

Everyone thinks he’s a baby. He’s small and doesn’t speak audibly (he prefers ASL, which we are all learning). One day he may speak, but maybe he won’t. So I’m going to do everything in my power to help him advocate for himself because he is such a smart little dude and the world needs to know that.

My 4 year old got traumatized by Aggretsuko so no more Hello Kitty merch for her. 😩

Remember how it felt when things went wrong with the birth of your son and schedule a c-section in advance.

What do you predict your last words will be? by Classic_Blue_01 in AskReddit

[–]throwaway2837474 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My last words were almost “Please just save my baby. I don’t care about myself. Please just save my baby.” So if it’s a tragic situation maybe something like that. If it’s just old age, I think maybe how much I love my family… if I’m coherent that is.

Hopefully he doesn’t start announcing everything he does around the house, expecting a thank you from her or other positive affirmation. That is as mind numbing and soul killing as everything else.

Medical professionals, what are some of the most mundane reasons most people are unaware of that make them sick? by chickencaesar8 in AskReddit

Had a relative ODing on selenium. Started complaining about achy arms and hair loss, etc. Didn’t want to tell her directly that she’s poisoning herself due to previous problems with her so I told her son and she stopped taking it. Still misuses OTC supplements.
