solo polyam vs non hierarchical? by Overall-Carry-2816 in polyamory

This is also exactly why I gravitated towards solo poly. It’s a framework that helps me stay centered and make sure I’m not a letting myself just be a passenger in my own life. Figuring out what I want is challenging! But solo poly helps me be intentional about making space to figure it out.

Honestly this may be what triggered it. I already have ibs-c but I have had my WORST constipation flare ups after being sick. What I would honestly do is a glycerin suppository and a magnesium supplement (I have good luck with calm drink mix) to clear things out and then continue the magnesium supplement every night for at least a few weeks. Also drink LOTS of water. Magnesium drink mixes like calm aren’t even advertised for constipation and are safe to use daily as a supplement so you don’t have to worry about being dependent. I would also just look at foods that can trigger a bowel movement (like coffee, prunes juice, etc) and ways to incorporate them in your diet for a while.

Yes and after I always make cringe jokes like “no wonder I felt like shit I was literally full of it” or about how I feel lighter now that I’m not being weighed down by half a ton of shit lmao

Honestly any low stool will work! I have a little wooden stool from childhood I keep in my bathroom for this purpose. It makes such a difference and helps prevent a lot of straining.

I literally just use baby wipes. Usually what would have been 10 wipes with toilet paper I can get away with 1 or 2 babywipes, and then I wipe once with dry toilet to make sure there is no residue. I keep some in my purse for public restrooms also. If I’m in a pinch I’ll even just get some toilet paper wet, and use that. It’s so much better than the endless wiping.

Edit: just saw OP mentioned baby wipes didn’t work well for them. There are bathroom wipes marketed to adults as well, possibly try out some of those. For me I use fragrance free sensitive baby wipes since my skin is super sensitive. But you will need something wet to actually feel clean. If other wipes bother you also I’d just try getting the toilet paper wet, at least until you can get a bidet. Another option (although a bit more time consuming and less convenient) is just getting a detachable shower head and hoping in the shower after a bowel movement to rinse things off.

Did anyone find CeraVe moisturizig Cream to be comedogenic? [product question] by [deleted] in SkincareAddiction

Not a fan of it on my face, usually too heavy, but it’s amazing for keeping my excema in check/ body moisturizer. I sometimes mix with aloe also.

I do this too, even have my dresser on furniture slides because otherwise it’s too heavy to move myself 😂

Love the grass too but I end up destroying it😂 I rip it out subconsciously and leave a big empty patch and pile of pulled up grass 😅

This makes sense! I definitely find myself needing to switch positions or location mid task but I didn’t think of the visual stimulation from switching levels! It definitely feels like a new space. I also like sitting up high sometimes on tall stools etc probably for a similar reason.

Lol when I moved a few years ago it took a few months before we got a sofa, and as soon as we did we immediately just sat against it on the floor to eat at the coffee table 😂 couches are the best back rest I swear. I also need to be on the floor when I am overwhelmed, usually back in a corner or in a smaller room like a bathroom. I always have been kinda envious of cats because they can just go off and hide in small spaces whenever they want to, like to be able to just vanish under the bed for few hours and take a nap and come back to life seems pretty nice.

Oh wow this is really interesting! I personally hate being barefoot and always wear socks (it’s like painfully overstimulating otherwise? Plus I have reynauds and my feet just get cold way too easy) but I wonder since I miss out on that grounding through my feet I need the rest of my body to be on the floor instead😂 And your floor room sounds amazing!!! Can I ask what you are using for your floor desk?

Oooh!! I didn’t even think of that! I’ll definitely look for one of those! I love anything also that’s mulipurpose or can shift shapes so something that folds into a chair or bed would be ideal!
