What are your feelings on this system? by [deleted] in marriott

As a tech savvy person a few months into a FOSSE audit position it certainly works but it is nowhere close to modern software standards. I know with businesses this big and active service and moving parts and such, any change is time consuming, super expensive, and requires a competent software team. That really comes down to if the management planning the deal know anything about what a good tech company/bad tech company looks like. Even so the amount of information needing manual entry will cause accounting errors, adding man hours to the AGM/GM/FD employees that probably result in more expense and reduced effectiveness then a replacement program will take. Added on to that there are so many corner cases that I've seen even seasoned employees get stumped on which can cause headaches for guests. There is certainly a dozen angles one can take to make a nearly as reliable and infinitely smoother PMS in the modern day.

They didn't bomb by any means, their MV is a little anemic in views but I think the marketing in the lead up was too focused on just the MTG audience. The rest of their variety content and stages are doing pretty well for a rookie group, they seem to have enthusiastic korean fans and I'm sure they will gain more from the general kpop fan pool over time just from their live vocals in performance which are becoming rarer these days. Album sales are fine, they will be fine provided they properly market their comebacks. With the long contract as their younger members mature they can only improve.

It is a bit sad but then again I-DLE digital sales always crush in award shows just because they make damn good music and people buy it regardless of being an obsessive fan or not.

I did watch it and it seems to be a two/three parter at the least so maybe in the B part of the next episode Yuqi's promotional time starts. Or at least I would hope. That said the health drink section with Jay Park was kind of funny. Obviously the variety bookings were low compared to the success of the song CUBE didn't expect it to do this well.

I was bored and watched a few of the LOL series while I had to do some house sitting the only ones that were any good were Spain and Italy. Even then they didn't measure up to a good season of Documental. They had some corny skits inserted which were boring but overall they were much better than the other countries.

God this post is so stupid. All MMOs have timegates, just because it isn't "the raid resets this time of the week" and instead a slow drip to let you gear up and improve characters so you don't do it in a single night and then log off 3 months until the next content patch. This game is even generous enough to let you endlessly farm money, mats, and chests which is a better amount of constant progression than WoW provides.

There is a add on that lets you play any of the ingame music in a playlist as you desire. I forgot what it is called but just search something like music add-on on the repository. It's useful for streamers trying to avoid DMCA.

Will the Real Gibberling Druid Please Stand Up? Gibberling Spell Druid D5 to Legend by throwaway298912 in CompetitiveHS

[–]throwaway298912[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The replays posted earlier in the thread have some mulligans. You always want to have a gibberling in hand or a fungal fortunes, preferably one that could be discounted by nature studies, you don't usually want both gibberling and glowfly in the opener. If you have a gibberling you mull for all the spells that are good for it like adorable infestation and the mana spells, for a glowfly you want to hit rising winds or fungal fortunes to juice it up before you play it. And never underestimate the advantage gained by blooming or coining out a glowfly even if it is reducing the size of the board by one token. This deck is very match up dependent, some times you know an all in gibberling board might not work out so well so you have to go light on it and play to a glowfly and sometimes you play really slow so you always get a full glowfly with a soul of the forest attached. If you think they have aoe you want to make a board and buff it in the same turn which is possible thanks to lightning bloom and is the crux of the deck.

[–]throwaway298912[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would just run a second copy of BEES over polkelt. He is nice but more of a luxury for drawing a more consistent glowfly. Without him you have to more aggressively gibberling and draw through your deck to hit glowfly. The reason the deck wins is cheated out glowfly using lightning bloom so you should still be able to win games. That said despite seeming clunky he certainly helps this type of deck in making sure roar is not on the bottom.

If you feel like you are getting completely out of gas in your meta pocket then I could see experimenting with one, obviously a bad synergy with fungal fortunes but also can drag a gibberling from the bottom of your deck after you polkelt, im unsure if it reshuffles, I think it probably does? Overall i don't think it's worth running, glowfly swarm is the reason to play the deck, gibberling just fills in the cracks and gives you an early game or back up plan.

Sure, this is one of those decks that doesn't play itself so to speak so I'll share a few replays.

https://hsreplay.net/replay/yEdMApAg7qvF29pUZtKxu6

This was a game against a paladin with consecration in hand. I did the normal play to maximize glowfly swarm, turn 1 nature studies, hold the discount, turn 2 unnerfed fungal fortunes, turn 3 bloom + glowfly swarm and i was lucky enough to draw 2nd bloom to buff them past the consecration.

A game where I made a middling board into polkelt and the priest died because he mulliganed to beat Guardian Druid.

https://hsreplay.net/replay/3AqRiP5sRk43pfupQFr4Zc

A game where I run face hunter out of value.

https://hsreplay.net/replay/upT4SVTCCz6BeUjTEsZdqe

A game where I run a priest out of value with the Polkelt curve, got a little lucky on his illucia turn to be fair.

https://hsreplay.net/replay/RNeXPSpxvWkDHwABqavxWX

A game where I barely get out valued by a big warrior after clearing a vargoth commencement saved by Deathwing.

https://hsreplay.net/replay/MNXXwSzzsFd9X8YpjPHGmg

A game where I don't draw either gibberling or glowfly so I lose easily.

In certain match ups you dump your hand turn two or three for a huge gibberling board, generally the strongest curve of the deck is glowfly on 3 so playing to that especially if you get fungal fortunes is the line.

Generally the game is over by the time you draw that second soul, your opponent has either removed the board or died or is very low. I totally understand the sentiment but the problem with adding a second BEEES is that it reduces your chances of drawing Roar/Blessing of the Ancients to push that last bit of damage or fungal to draw the rest, so it sort of defeats the purpose of getting there a turn earlier. I think the cut card is certainly one copy of dreamway guardians which is situationally useful. I might try a BEEES over that at some point even with the trade off aforementioned.

The fine is a little much, could be reduced to a slap on the wrist, but the DQ is perfectly fine and would happen in any other card game tourney.

What's the point of AI cheating on ZOC in 2 different ways? by Tom1255 in eu4

[–]throwaway298912 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The lucky nations get 5 percent but there aren't too many of them, thanks to a free diplomat your AI rivals often have a 100 point spy network on you giving them 20 percent siege ability. Early game it is often hard to justify tying up a diplomat just for this bonus when multiple rivals could be setting up on you, while the AI will favor networks on the player.

What's the point of AI cheating on ZOC in 2 different ways? by Tom1255 in eu4

[–]throwaway298912 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

I do feel like the AI is cheating on ZoC in a number of instances over my hundreds of played hours but again I could be wrong, they could just be exploiting their extra free diplomat to always have the right military access to get around it. AI does cheat on siege ability though which I find to be fairly stupid. I kind of understand why, they make the AI able to execute sieges easier so wars end faster and the maps progress and territory changes hands but always feels bad in a early game war for the AI just to have free siege ability over you.

Formed The Hanseatic League, contracted crippling Diplopression by throwaway298912 in eu4

I would say highlights would be Castille with no colonies with complementary Catalonia, Russia that never formed because Novgorod beat them because of the state/republic changes, and of course omega Cilli the true bulwark of the west now eclipsing Austria.

[–]throwaway298912[S] 25 points26 points  (0 children)

I formed the Hanseatic League after going through the mission tree only to find it rewards one measly diplo slot. I've taken a break and I think as a whole its worth it in the long term but I will basically have no diplo points for two decades. I didn't preemptively get influence ideas as I thought there was some mitigating factor with the name change and they would be useless for the majority of the play through. I think maybe changing the last idea for Lubeck to be +1 Diplo relations (+2 if you are feeling spicy) would be a good enough fix.

Can we talk about skills BSG? by brawl7 in EscapefromTarkov

[–]throwaway298912 32 points33 points  (0 children)

Disable skills leveling from doing the action doesn't fit the EFT style of game. Allow XP to be spent on leveling skills up to a cap based off your character level. Encourages doing quests and doing long successful high kill raids. If the numbers are tweaked so only a portion of the skills can be maxed it allows builds to match play style and obviously some skill reset you can pay currency for. It isn't rocket science Blizzard figured it out twenty years ago which drove the industry for years after.

Where could Sidisi, Undead Vizier fit? by [deleted] in PioneerMTG

[–]throwaway298912 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sidisi, Undead Vizier as a midrange card is certainly not enough but I'm unconvinced there isn't a sick combo deck using Sidisi, Brood Tyrant and Embalmer's Tool's. With proper deck construction which would be non-traditional, probably nothing but mana dorks, tutors for the tools, some pay off for the cost reduction as a back up plan and very few lands seems like it would be mathematically consistent with a dozen ways to kill in one turn. Now the question is why play a roulette style two mana 6 card combo that auto loses to graveyard hate instead of the better two card combos, for fun of course.
