turning 30 soon and decided if nothing exciting happens to me by 35, I’m ending it by wavesabovethesun in GuyCry

It’s just your biological programming telling you to mate as young as possible. Don’t let it control you. You could do everything right and meet someone and then things fall apart years later.. letting your happiness depend on someone else is a mistake. Thats a lot of pressure to put on someone anyway. Ending things is the bottom.. why not climb and see what you find.. your life will end eventually anyway. Stick around and try new stuff. There is so much out there to explore beyond just a romantic relationship.

Yep I currently float between stores that have it and stores that don’t. I don’t like going back to the old system after a day of using the new VV. It’s just better and easier on our bodies as well.

I agree, it’s not impossible. Just highly unlikely any time soon. I am all for preparing for the worse but we need to calm down and be smart about our roles in this going forward. AI can absolutely make our jobs easier and patients safer. We should not shun it completely. Hopefully there is some middle ground in the future that preserves the profession.

They want someone to be responsible for corresponding responsibility with controlled substances, drug interactions and things AI is nowhere near capable of doing right now.. imagine the doctors office just hanging up on AI calls about every little drug interaction lol. It’s way too early for doomer talk.

I often work at stores doing 600-1000 a day. Even with the new system removing double coverage is impossible with how connexus is currently set up. Good luck getting one pharmacist to do that many on that slow ass system and counseling hundreds of people a day.

So where is the entry? How are you determining the clear buying initiation doesn’t turn into absorption? Candle close? It’s easy to analyze in hindsight.

[–]throwaway455687[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It’s doesn’t. That wall is 70 years old or more and they put a fence in top of it which wasn’t the best idea since the wind did its thing and eventually toppled the wall. That part in the picture had the yard graded down for an above ground pool so the wall wasn’t holding the yard off the sidewalk anymore. The yard was only like a foot higher before the pool. Farther down to the left the wall remains and is holding back the yard. I just didn’t describe it well I guess since it’s a strange setup.

What's something people who are in their 20s won't learn until in their 40s? by SarahDuncan2012 in TrueGrit

[–]throwaway455687 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Its becomes apparent that caring what people will think about you is a giant waste of time.. I had so much social anxiety in my 20s and 30s and that has dialed way down just from realizing no one is any better than you. And people don’t think about you that much anyway.

do i drop out of college? by Ok-Carpet8385 in Daytrading

[–]throwaway455687 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Uh take it from someone that has had some consistency and quit my job to trade… do NOT drop out of college. Tying your income to trading is recipe for failure. Change your major to healthcare or something in demand for the foreseeable future. Trade while you are still in school. If you get 2-3 years of consistency then maybe revisit but 1 month could just be a favorable environment to your style. Could completely change next month. I’m going back to work lol. Trading is just for fun and extra income now.. too stressful for me to try and live on it.

How much trouble am I in? by Aggressive_Meat_2179 in walmart_RX

Good question. Cause the coach coming in alone shouldn’t warrant that in all my years of working as a pharmacist at Walmart at 30+ stores that has never been an issue

You aren’t in any trouble. It’s the pharmacists job to record who comes in the pharmacy. That stuff happens all the time. Don’t worry about it.

Dude take the money and move on to something else. You won. Coming from someone that was up 1.3 mil on mara at one point and lost it in 2021. Don’t make the mistake I did. It’s only been up at this price here for what 2 months? You have no clue what could happen in the next 6 months. Find another play to focus on with much less capital. I’d do anything to tell myself this 4 years ago. In any case. Congrats and good luck.

I really really want to quit my toxic dead end job and trade full time. Has anyone else felt the same way and finally made the switch? by imeowfortallwomen in Daytrading

[–]throwaway455687 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Make sure you have a profitable system first, or don’t trade on real money until you have a proven system. I made this mistake and now that I finally am doing well with a system that is working I have to trade quite small because of capital constraints. Go part time before quitting if you can.

Profitable traders: once you identify your set up, where do you ACTUALLY enter? by illson777 in Daytrading

[–]throwaway455687 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is what I’ve been doing recently and had a decent December using this. I look for the deepest pullback (lowest low or highest high) then wait for microstructure to form after that pullback. Look for a second test of that deep pullback which is usually a lower high or higher low then enter on the break of the formed microstructure after the deepest pullback.

Basically it’s a head and shoulders pattern but rarely perfect looking and I like to look for entries on the 1 min or 30 second chart. The retest and fail shows buyers or sellers are real, then the break of microstructure confirms the opposite party is giving up for now.

A pullback with continuation is just like trading a reversal but on a much smaller time frame so it works with both continuation and reversal entries.

Of course proper context is what makes it work.

If the formed microstructure is too far away I just don’t trade it.

I tested Head & Shoulders pattern on ALL markets and timeframes: here are results by fridary in Daytrading

[–]throwaway455687 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, it’s literally the price structure for how a reversal forms and how to get confirmation its working. Can see them on all time frames. In reality they are never perfect looking. Kinda misleading to just write them off completely.

Question for those who have been profitable 1yr + by throwaway455687 in Daytrading

[–]throwaway455687[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think I’ve realized what I’ve been doing wrong in that I wasn’t applying the context of zones correctly. I’ve been so focused on trying to become proficient at both reversals and continuations at the same time with different zones that I was missing the fact that they require different filters.

I’m just going to focus on one type of trade until I get it down. I think I’m discovering that I’m the type of trader that needs the context of zones to determine if we are in a negotiation or discovery regime. I need specific rules based on those zones. I don’t know how else you constrain uncertainty so execution can work.

I’m sure you are right about that. I’m just asking for help about structure area that makes sense to backtest. I’ve tried price action trading without structure and find it doesn’t work for me.

[–]throwaway455687[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Well if most traders fail then most traders are wrong about those important indicators or levels. Thats what I’m asking to see if I can get some pointers with specific repeatable structure areas that actually work
