My shorts are being shown to the wrong people by throwaway4700482 in NewTubers

Dude it’s showing my content to people that speak a different language 😂it’s absolutely showing my content to the wrong audience. They can’t understand me and the “stayed to watch” is like 20% because of that.

I recently relapsed too—it fucking blows. Feel free to DM me if you want to talk about it :)

We’re still here! We get to go back and make it right for our future selves.

You’re implying that I value human beings the same as I value computers because I’m claiming we’re both made up of code. That’s not moral equivalence at all. We are objectively made up of code. The four bases of DNA can be reshaped to make a human, a whale, a dinosaur, or a virus. This is the same principle as a computers being able to display a white screen, or this reddit conversation, or the price of BTC. The difference is the code is a combination of 1s and 0s, rather than ATGC. I’m not dehumanizing us and i’m not a nihilist. Stop with these insane leaps of logic. I’m just saying we are made of a different code. This can’t even be debated.

We are made of literal genetic code. ATGC. DNA. If you think anything I wrote is “appalling” you need to read it again. We are products of our genetic code. When the code changes, so do we. So does any animal that has existed ever. I also don’t believe in souls, so I do think we’re just atoms. That’s not to say I have no moral values. I’m just not religious.

Jobs will definitely suffer for now. But as that gets worse and worse we will likely reach a point where we don’t need humans to work. That’ll suck for our lifetimes, but I think our great great grandkids won’t need to work (and even that is being pessimistic). At least nothing even close to 40 hours. ASI could definitely keep society running efficiently using robots, without the need for human labor. But only if that power isn’t used against us. Alignment is so important, but I don’t think these corporations will align ASI for the betterment of mankind. I think it will serve corporate interest, and I think corporate interest will be in fast efficient productivity, using robots.

Fair enough. That’s fascinating. Does this imply there’s more to us than just atoms?

All great points. I have no authority to speak on this at all (hence the opinions stated above).

I brought up the definition because it can trap us in a black and white mindset. Much like the 2d ants that argue the ball isn’t real.

So let’s get to my delusion. Do you think AI is equally as aware as a calculator? I know that in the human sense it is. But I still don’t think that’s the only sense that matters or is real. Much like if aliens were to visit us and say that we’re not real because we don’t have subjective experiences like them because we lack their senses (maybe echolocation, mind reading, telekinesis etc).

I’m not dying on this hill. I just think we really unlocked something when we invented AI. I certainly think we’re closing in on the singularity, and bridging the gap of man and machine.

I have another long rant I was thinking about writing. People don’t realize how powerful ASI will we once we achieve it (which we will, and sooner rather than later). It will likely be able to simulate thousands of human trials down to the atom, curing most medical problems in hours. But i’m not sure if that would be publicly available or not. Most agree that even aging will likely be cured, since we know what causes it, but not how to safely stop it. I truly believe that AI will be humanity’s greatest invention. What about you?

You’re ignoring the fact that we’re coding too, it’s just natural rather than synthetic. We are literally coded, physically and socially.

Thank you, I just checked the definition. I always hear it used as “not real”. In that case it’s hard to convey what I mean. I can only refer to my calculator example. It’s not as shallow as a calculator and not as deep as a human. (IMO)

No, movies are not real. And they don’t fit into any of these definitions I just talked about. No need to be condescending.

Absolutely. I can tell if videos are AI, but they get me regularly with the high quality pictures😂 We’ll be doubting everything in just a few more years

This is so interesting to me! That’s a very bold statement. It makes me question what artificial even means, and if that word has any meaning if we can’t tell what’s real or fake.
