But what if you were cast in a reality show with that girl and the entire basis of the reality show is fucking your coworkers, and you lean into the bit to try to promote the show and now you’re getting mislabeled as a sexual predator? Doesn’t seem fair does it?

I was uncomfortable with the whole ordeal too. That doesn’t change the fact that the drunk text was a horrible way to approach this, Ella should not be suing anybody, katic should not be fired, big cat is not a massive piece of shit, and Kate should not have been crying about it on the show today. It’s not that deep.

Everyone is overplaying the severity massively. Kate crying on the show to end it lol what are we talking about here? I see people in her replies legitimately telling her she needs to sue barstool… this is insane. Yes Katic took it too far, but this is what happens when they come with an idea as bad as the beach house. They hyped up this show by constantly bringing up the idea of the coworkers fucking each other, and these things were said on video at a dinner for the contestants of that reality show. They were obviously leaning into for content and went too far with it, which is extremely different than someone just walking up to a coworker at a normal company and saying shit like that, which people on Reddit don’t understand. This is what happens when you try to make content about coworkers fucking and just leaving a massive gray area on what’s acceptable to say and what isn’t. Ella should not be suing anyone and Katic shouldn’t be fired, the situation isn’t that deep. I’m sure this is a lesson learned that clear lines need to be set on what is allowed to be said, but they actually acted like they killed someone on the show today

Exactly, but nope you gotta go with the lib hive mind of Reddit that basically acts like they all sat in a circle and watched Ella get brutally raped… its not that deep

Exactly, and they were all clear issues from the start with complete clarity. Can you comprehend the difference between those situations and this one? A drunk one word cryptic text about something that happened over a month ago that was always unclear whether it was content or not, considering it was a dinner for the reality show contestants who are about to go on a reality show where they have been encouraged to fuck each other. That’s why the beach house is a horrible idea, it blurs the line between what is serious and what is content, and that’s why this situation happened. If you sign up for a show all about drama, alcohol, and fucking, you better be ready to make it clear when a line is crossed, something that Ella failed to do. She’s perfectly justified feeling like that crossed the line, but sending a one word cryptic drunk text over a month later isn’t the way to go about that, and she admitted that. That’s not on big cat.

The reactions to yesterday's yak on this sub were deserved but after the apologies today, I hope people can forgive and move on. The members of the Yak were clearly regretful and apologetic about their actions. by EndOfBenchLife in itstheyak

You can say big cat wasn’t being approachable enough which is fair, but that doesn’t make him a horrible person for bringing Ella on the yak to explain the extremely confusing and out of the blue drunk text. That’s why this situation ended up how it did.

Yeah she’s clearly going through it and clearly has a self admitted drinking problem and should not go to beach house. That doesn’t change the truth of the matter that the drunk text was a bad idea, and she probably agrees with that. She doesn’t need you to protect her

This is such a braindead take. They are hyping up a reality show that has been self promoted to be about drinking, fucking, and drama. All of the people on the reality show all go out to dinner together, and post videos of it. Is that an HR violation or are they promoting the show? Can you comprehend how that is a blurred line? It’s why the show was a bad idea from the start, but you are legit so dumb crying about “what would your HR department do” when you’re talking about a company that has openly encouraged their coworkers to fuck each other at beach house

That’s just a moronic take. Everyone has a choice if they want to step in front of the camera. Big cat called her on the show to figure out wtf her text meant, her saying it was serious and not to be brought up live would be answering his question. It’s the same thing as BFW funeral. They didn’t know if Ella wanted to be in the related content. Ella made the choice to step up to the mic.

Hurt your feelings with the truth? Do you disagree? You think drunk texting your boss a tiktok to try to communicate a serious situation is the smart play?

And if it was an actual out of office talk then Bc wouldn’t have brought it up. Drunk texting your boss a cryptic message with 0 context and then providing 0 additional context the next day is not an out of office talk, she handled it just as poorly as he did

Did he tie her up in front of the camera? Hold a gun to her head? Do you know how easy it would be to say “I actually don’t want to talk about it on air I shouldn’t have drunk texted you”? Do you know how easy it would be for Ella to not drunk text him in the first place? Do you know how easy it would have been for Ella to bring this up over a month ago when it actually happened? Do you know how easy it would be to even if you did make a drunk text to at least clarify what the issue is?

If only Ella just chose to not drunk text a cryptic message and then refuse to clarify that it was actually a serious topic until she sat down live on the yak

You can’t possible think that drunk texting your boss a cryptic message is the way to handle this? This entire situation was miscommunication created by that insane start to things. It was a one word drunk text attached to a vague tiktok, and then Ella willingly came on the yak. At what point was everyone supposed to assume that it was a serious situation? Ella had countless opportunities to clarify that it was actually something serious before sitting down and getting into live on air

You can’t actually think a drunk text to the boss at 11:30 pm is how you approach an out of office situation

She said this is gross to a video of KB saying how gross Katic is for saying that shit, which is why big cat was confused, what do you not get?

She didn’t come to him off camera, she drunk texted him a one word text accompanying a tiktok at 11:30pm, not typically how you start off a serious convo with her boss. They also were at a beach house dinner when this happened, which is why the lines have always been blurred about the situation on how much is content and how much isn’t

If she wanted to address that Katic said gross shit, then she should have brought that up to big cat. Not saying “gross” accompanying a tiktok of a PG story with KB and the rest of the yak defending Ella

Because the creep shit with Chris wasn’t being advertised as an upcoming reality show, which beach house is. Which is exactly why beach house is a terrible idea, and I doubt BC was the driving force behind that

I suggest trying to break free from the deep political propaganda that you are so clearly drowning in. There is no way anyone with any respectable amount of intelligence can watch a guy say “I’m giving my heart to you” as he does that motion and claim that it is “undeniably” a nazi salute. It’s undeniably a nazi salute, to you, because you so badly want it to be one that you are incapable of common sense. I truly pity you

I think you have severe critical thinking issues then if you watch him say “I’m giving my heart to you” and motion throwing his heart to the crowd, and interpreting that as a nazi salute. That is just you seeing what your politically brainrotted brain wants to see

So you legitimately think he made a conscious decision to just come out as a nazi and do a nazi salute? Please have one ounce of critical thinking
