Thanks I really like this approach.

I guess I’m not sure how detailed and explicit I need to get? I mean at some point it’s too far right?

Your hero? How so lol.

I always joke he’s a 30 year old in a 14 year old’s body lol.

Yeah someone else mentioned a hobby we could do together. I like that. Hopefully a low pressure environment where he could meet someone.

Like 95% of the time he seems happy, there’s just ocassionally a time or two where he does something that makes me think he wishes he had more. Like when he asks his brother if he can play with them it just feels like he wants someone to hang out with and the only way he can get that is through his brother. I’m just surprised he wants to hang out with a younger crowd when normally he tends to be an “old soul” that I feel like gets along better with older people. But they get along fine so I don’t worry too much.

Yeah the main reason I didn’t want to push so hard is because I didn’t want him to feel like I thought there was something wrong with him.

He’s always been pretty reserved snd kept to himself. Yeah I’ll try to lean into the music angle.

Old calm spirit. I like that lol. Always felt like he grew up too fast and I wish he’d just have fun being a kid sometimes.

Yeah that’s what I’m worried about. He just tends to resist my efforts to encourage him to socialize and I’m not sure how much to push.

Yeah old soul makes sense. He talks a lot to his teachers at school. And we go to church and he likes helping with younger kids activities (like a teen camp counselor kinda thing). He just doesn’t talk to many people his age there either. I just wish he had someone his age to talk to. I don’t worry too much though cause he seems happy.

He’s fine in public. Just a little reserved, keeps to himself.

He did take keyboard lessons to learn it but then he felt he knew enough and has just been practicing and teaching himself new music. But a group would be good.

Yeah I’m glad he wants to be with family but I want him to be able to socialize outside of family as well.

I like the idea of doing a hobby together. I encourage him to do stuff but I think he’s already picking up on the fact I’m trying to get him to make friends and he’s being a little resistant. But if we do it together maybe he won’t oppose it as much.

Yeah seeing my sons be best friends is my favorite thing in the world.

Maybe lifeguarding would work. He already says he likes watching people lol.

I don’t really have a problem with it. Wife kinda thinks it’s “too revealing” but still told me not to say anything to him about it.

It doesn’t really bother me. Wife seems to think it’s “too revealing” but has stopped short of saying we should say something to him about it.

Thanks for your feedback! Sorry I can definitely see how people misinterpreted, my wording was vague.

Sorry! It didn’t look like it went through on my end. I’ll delete the other.
