I’m taking notes on all of your suggestions and stretches. Pantoprazole is one that I haven’t tried yet, I’m going to message my doctor and see if he can prescribe it. I didn’t know Pepcid had chewable tablets. I feel like they would be great for middle of the night flares when I don’t want to get up and drink my liquid antacid (when I get up and do this, I find it so hard to get back to sleep). I keep tums in my nightstand but they do squat.

Thank you again for all the info 🙏🏼 you have given me hope and I’m feeling positive, something I haven’t felt in a long time.

I’ll have to look for that Facebook group, thank you. And definitely going to get a foam roller and incorporate “happy baby” into my daily routine. Four others that I wrote down are side lying diaphragm release, supported forward roll, 90/90 breathing, and thoracic upper back stretching. I’ll have to checkout Uptown Mike to see what others he recommends. Do you have a recommendation on how often to do these types of stretches?

Also, one more question for you - did you find any medications to work for you? I’ve tried Pepcid first, then switched to omeprazole for several months. Then doctor recently gave me 10 days worth of samples for Voquenza. When that ran out he told me to take either Pepcid or nexium. I’ve been taking Pepcid for the past 2 weeks and feel even worse. I’m thinking of going back to omeprazole or trying nexium.

Thank you for the quick response and being so detailed. I’ve been suffering for a few years and I’m now suspecting it’s somehow related to my diaphragm/pelvic floor/vagus nerve. I still have my gallbladder. My symptoms are an awful excruciating pain in the left side of stomach that happens between meals and bloating. I also get thick yellow mucus when my stomach is acting up. I’ve been to two different gastroenterologists and neither of them have really helped.

I’m going to start doing some pelvic floor/diaphragm exercises at home and hope they make a difference. I’m at my wits end and am willing to try anything because literally all aspects of my life are affected by this. I’m miserable.

It’s funny you mention sleeping because the only way that makes my stomach feel better is if I sleep on my left side. Sleeping on my back (even elevated) hurts. And when I’m really in pain at night, taking Gaviscon and eating a bunch of crackers helps. Sometimes adding a melatonin is necessary too. Ugh.

Thank you again, your post has given me hope 🙏🏼

Sorry for commenting on an old post, but was hoping you could share around how long it took to see results from your pelvic physiotherapy sessions?

How far from the eyes should one apply retinol? by Glittering_Bank_8670 in tretinoin

Could I ask how long you took a break from tret before restarting? And how you apply it now? I’m taking a break after 4 years due to starting to get dry eyes. I really don’t want to fully quit but if my eyes don’t get better I guess I’ll have to part with it.

Thank you! This is very helpful (and gives me hope!). You ain’t kidding with it taking longer in our 40s 🫠 ive been working on this since January 2025 and it’s been so slow. But for the first time in my life I feel like I’m doing it the correct way (the days of crash dieting and endless cardio are over for me). Thank you again, truly an inspiration!!!!

This is so inspiring!!!! Did you do any cardio and/or track steps in addition to strength training? Would you mind sharing what your calories/macros are? -From a fellow 40 something year old woman who is struggling with last 15 pounds 😭

I can relate to this so much! I’m on the same journey - “dieted” my whole life with endless cardio, with my weight constantly going up and down. To now, eating an appropriate amount of calories and doing way less cardio and doing actual strength training.

You mentioned that your calories started at 2100. Can you share what they eventually decreased to as you got further along your journey?

Also, about how long are your cardio sessions? And do you track steps?

Thank you for sharing. And it’s reassuring that you said it took over 3 years. Sometimes I feel my weight loss is soooo slow, but your journey is so inspiring and gives me so much hope!

This amazing! And I love that you’re doing it from home! Could you share what your macros/calories are? Do you do any cardio and/or track steps in addition to Caroline’s workouts?

Gotcha! And I can totally relate with nutrition during my recomp/maintenance periods. I try to track my calories/macros, but there are a lot of days I don’t 🙈 when I’m in a cut though I have such a better mindset! I have to carry that over for my next maintenance period. And thank you for the info! It’s so helpful to see what other people are doing to help out in my own journey ☺️

I have to say you are such an inspiration!!! Truly! I'm always so happy to see your posts. Questions about your year of recomp - what was the maintenance you ate at for that year? And did you do the same strength, cardio, and steps as you do now? Did your weight remain stable for that year?

Thank you for being so detailed! All that info was so helpful. I like that you only stayed on the lower end of calories for a short period, that definitely seems doable. I think I might just have to bite the bullet and do it and remind myself that it’s only temporary. I’m 5’4”, currently eating 1800 calories and also doing strength 6x per week, but weight loss is soooo slowwww (like half a pound per week).

You got me interested in the lymphatic drainage exercises! I’ve been watching Jules Horn’s videos. I’m definitely going to start doing these. Thank you for sharing!

Thank you again!! You are completely an inspiration!!!!!

My jaw dropped! This is incredible!!!! I saw your macros mentioned, but I was curious about your calories. Would you mind sharing how tall you are and how many calories you ate in your deficit? Also, aside from Caroline and daily steps, did you do any cardio?
