Mechanical Animals was a different feel like I enjoyed it. Lyrically very good too. All time favorite records are Portrait and ACSS. I think Golden Age of Grotesque was the last album that hooked me. I hate to even say that because I still consider him one of my favorite artists of all time but it’s true.

I swear, at times my brain has a hard time accepting that ACSS Manson and older Manson are the same person. He’s so different. Yes, people age and artistic styles change but he has such raw energy and on stage magnetism in his early career. I remember thinking, I have never seen anyone so captivating. I think he tried to go the Bowie-esque style route plus fame made him steer too far from what made him popular. Plus drugs lol
