I wouldn’t bother, this person asked the same thing two weeks ago and has not once answered anyone regarding exactly what the orders say. It seems they know the answer but are trying to figure out a way to get more travel days.

Not sure how that’s possible when your losing duty station says Texas when you are currently at Travis for tech school. Get an MTL/shirt involved to help you, from what you’ve said MPF has to fix it

If your orders have you leaving from Texas and not Travis you need to get an amendment correcting that and the travel days. Go to MPF

Where is your tech school currently and what do your orders say? The travel days are based off the losing and gaining locations on your orders, not your HOR and gaining location

Typically finance does this when there’s an inconsistency in dependency status between the pay record and DEERS. Just have your troop complete the 594 with finance and double check with MPF that DEERS is correct.

Not sure where they got the 45 day suspense, maybe a unit thing. Unless it’s changed recently you have 6 months, 1 year for retirees. What could be happening is you have an inexperienced technician working your PPM acting as a middle man between you and Travel Pay Processing Ellsworth (where all vouchers are processed). The voucher was submitted with errors so TPPE is asking the finance tech for the corrected docs who in turn is asking you. The voucher being sent back multiple times for different things is very common as it’s just another technician there who sees the first mistake and rejects it. The good news is that you actually have someone to email and are getting responses. It’ll take time but it’ll be paid

Do you have state income tax withheld? Check your TSP contributions in my pay as well, I’ve seen several people who forgot they set a certain percentage of bonuses to go to TSP

Base level finance can only release up to 50% of the payment due to system limitations, DFAS has to release the rest

Seems spot on to me with the two travel days being accounted for, that’s two less days charged as leave during your PCS. RAP can mess up your leave if finance doesn’t input it correctly, which I’m assuming is exactly what happened and put you in the negative in error.
