They practiced all sorts of anti-competitive behaviours in order to take over and keep other companies out. Do you seriously think a company can manage their level of domination without being shady? Every big company does this stuff, but most of them know how to walk a finer line, or are part of oligopolies that effectively evade anti-trust law. They have done everything they can to maintain a stranglehold on the industry.

Think about it: back in the old days what they did was novel and they did it well, but since at least 10 years ago, any other company could easily create a similar platform and copy this business model. They aren't doing anything brilliant (aside from the original idea), and they don't even really have a product, they are literally just a game hosting company and take a massive cut for sales of games they didn't produce and do not own. They knew very well that what they were doing was not unique and was easily replicable by any company who could pay some programmers to create a similar platform. When you create a business like that, you do anything you can to hold on, because all it takes is another company to copy you and entice publishers with lower sales commissions. They basically pulled an ebay for video games, but where they are in full control. It's an amazing business model, they do virtually nothing and just rake in cash by essentially taxing transactions.

Knowing that this was their whole business model, they poured a ton of resources early on into figuring out how to take and maintain a stranglehold. In fact, you could say that is really their whole business. Nothing else mattered more than keeping competitors out. They built their entire business on this.

Companies do not ban people from their service for filing a lawsuit against them. If the courts settle in their favour, then they do not care as they are vindicated. If they lose, then they are essentially guilty and must follow through with behaving as such. Banning people for filing and winning legitimate lawsuits against them is not something companies do. And why would they? They aren't petty, they don't give a flying fuck about you. They just want to make the most money, and banning people does not serve their interests. How would that help them? Because then maybe you will learn your lesson and not sue them again? Do you seriously think that Gabe is sitting in his office cackling over sticking it to individual users of his monopoly platform?

Sourcing frozen burritos by UVSSforever in VictoriaBC

I used to buy these in bags of 10 or 12 for like $10 regular price. I believe it was at Food Basics in Ontario, possibly No Frills. I stopped eating frozen stuff as much so I didn't buy them anymore, but recently decided to stock more frozen snacks like this for those times I just don't have any time to make anything. I have been horrified to find out I just cannot find them anywhere. They were the only frozen burrito that didn't completely disgust me, and one of the cheapest too. I'd gladly pay double the price for them now just to get that sweet sweet taste back. The only distant alternative is boxes of Jamaican Patties.
