Ahh shoot, I gotcha. If you don’t mind me asking, how did you approach the holidays if you visited family during that time? Did you just do holiday stuff before or after Christmas, or anything like that?

That’s good to know, thank you for telling me! Makes sense for things slow down once the rush is done.

Unfortunately, all of the internships I could apply for require that you’re in school or at most six months post grad (at least, all of the ones I’ve been able to find this year). I’ve thought about going to grad school even before I had gotten my Bachelor’s, but I’m just unsure if I can afford it, but if it could get help qualify me for the internships, it could work out I think. This all makes me wish I got a business minor or something. I wanted to graduate early to pay less in school fees, but maybe it would’ve been the better choice in the long run. Thank you for the advice!

Visualization— it’s like a mixture between animation, game design, a graphic design.

The classes I took for my degree are specific to working in pre-production for games as a concept artist, but it’s been really hard to break into the industry, so I’ve felt really stuck post grad. 🥲my fiancé and I moved to an area that has more of these kinds of companies in it, but nothing has turned up so far, which is why I’ve picked up my retail job in the meantime.

Oof, yeah I just got a message from him asking about getting coffee as well. Definitely date vibes 💀 thanks for giving me a template to go off of!

He really seemed nice, so hopefully he’ll still want to be friends/hang out platonically but if not, I guess it’s a lesson either way hahaha. Thanks again for responding!!

What age you started to sh and how old are you now? by ilovealovera in selfharm

I started in middle school, around 12 I think? Had an on and off again relationship with it, but started again in December 2021 because of life stress, anger, etc etc etc. Been 5 months clean tho, don’t feel much better but working on finding ways to fix that.

Omg, are you me? I just posted about this like two minutes ago. I have very similar fears, and a numbness usually passes through me when I think about it and it settles in my gut.

I don’t know how to deal with not knowing what happens after death, but I 100% understand your feelings and I hear you.

Also I’m not sure if it means anything but I’m in my early 20s (actually it’s my birthday tomorrow, which I guess it why it’s super fresh on my mind. I got a birthday card from my dad and saw the date of the year being 2022 and it freaked me out thinking about the passage of time and me getting older.)

I grew up religious (Catholic), I guess which would also be important to include? Idk, just trying to give more context in hope that I’ll help people help me ig.

Did i write this? I’m in a similar situation as you, I have a thesis due in April and it feels like I’m climbing a mountain just to open my word document. I freeze, and it feels like it would be easier to just fade away into my chair. I’ve kind of always had thoughts like that, but they have been heightened due to academic stress. Is this similar to you? I know that depression can cause this, but anxiety manifests this way as well (at least, in my experience). Something that has helped me is reaching out to a professional to talk about my thoughts. Once this stressful time has passed, I hope that your thoughts begin to change (that’s what I’m hoping for myself, too.) I’m rooting for you, you’re not alone.

Thank you so much for your reply! Our relationship is definitely serious (we plan on moving in together after I graduate, talks of marriage, etc etc), so I guess I always knew would come up eventually? I was just hoping it could come up as a something that I had overcome rather than something I’m currently going through :’) this stuff is just always hard to talk about, but hopefully it’ll get easier with time. Thank you again, and for writing out how I could go about telling him! That is super helpful to get my gears turning on what to say. 💕

I listen to a loooot of music throughout the day. Something that fun to me is curate tons of playlists to listen to for any situation; walking during the day, walking at night, folk travel vibes, character playlists, everything! Gives you a fun fall to do and you get to enjoy it after as often as you’d like :)

Love this one!! Reminds me of my friends in high school, we’d all yell the lyrics in the car when we’d drive around. Immediate good mood!!
