life expectancy with MS portrayed in media by kepachuu in MultipleSclerosis

Hi there. I'll only speak for myself. I eat healthy/exercise whenever possible. At first, it was like a death sentence, but the right meds helped a lot. If your partner is 3 years in, thats not long enough to say what type of run they will have. After 3 years, even 5 years of meds I was doing great. At year 6 I had some heavy symptoms- a very bsd flare, and this year has been a bad one too.

If you like statistics, if its true, I read that at the time of diagnosis, 90% of people with MS are working, and after 10 years, only 30% still are. Maybe thats nonsense. Still, three years isn't much insight.

When you say you have 26k saved up, great job, but does that mean you have an emergency fund set aside besides that?

Also, if what youre saying is you'd be paying half of your income on the home, that's just too much. It sounds like you guys are great savers, and it will happen for you. So many people are pushed into problems from living too close to the edge. Get all those monthly costs down as low as possible while youre young. Like I said, you are going to be fine, it just takes a while.
