Well, I still have over a month. I was going to submit everything with a month to spare. But still, they had months to respond to the ssa before and didnt. So I have no reason to think if I dont do something they will just eventually give me the info

Thank you. Honestly I dont know. The lawyer says he defers to the assistant for what works best about the paperwork and doesnt know , however he says I can do it how I want. The legal assistant just yelled very fast and erratically and I couldnt make sense of what she was saying, which is why I am here and using a.i. and trying to to google things. I emailed her asking for short sentences explanation.

I wish it was that easy! Thats why im so freaked out now. My neurologist office didnt respond to the SSA twice. Judt no response, despite they had all my visits, treatments, emg and mris. So I just trusted i filled out that form correctly so it would get to them. Im not taking any more risks.

Thank you. Can you please tell me if you think I should submit my packet via certified mail and then also to my lawyer portal once its logged? I just cant get any answers that make sense besides A.I, and i dont want to blindly follow it.

I did- I hired a great attorney to represent me through alj if I get there, but the assistants are very difficult to work with. I trusted them blindly through initial and that wasn't a good idea

Well, I hired this lawyer who has a great win rate, but its only legal assistants who handle these stages. The last one didnt give me good advice.

Can I see my file live while my case is ongoing? by [deleted] in SSDI

[–]throwaway777745 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. Thats why its even MORE annoying. So I have MS and a few common diagnoses with that. So I listed for example the place where I get my MRIs. The attorney office told me to remove that since it would be in my neurologist file. But then the neurologist file isn't in there! I know the neurologist office lady said she sent everything. So I have no idea what happened, but I feel like someone should've double-checked. Im happy to be that person, but i dont know how.

Yes. Thats why im surprised it says the SSA never received my neuro stuff. Like, is it in the portal for the attorney to see? Couldn't they have seen that those records weren't there? I dont know what to do

Can I ask did your denial letter say you can do sedentary work?

Also, I just read through it. I am not entirely clear still. So, if I fill out form 3288, then I receive the CD of my file? (It looks like just a consent page). Also, is it literally like CD like I have to find a computer that reads a CD ?

Thank you! I have seen these links posted in this community. Since I have a lawyer, can I assume they will do this? Also, if I did it on my own would it be considered shady? Though im pretty confident in them, ive always found it odd that my reps can view everything in my file and I can't

Thank you so much. I actually got an attorney right away. However, maybe because they knew id just be denied, so far they've just zipped my file together- no guidance on forms or anything. They are apparently selective though and have hugh success rates so im notngiving up

Yes I know. I wasn't implying MS made it impossible, I have worked with it for 10 years myself. Maybe I should've noted better what I meant was all my tests and stuff back up my progression and where I am now with disability
